The staff were friendly and the location is great. But the beds were very uncomfortable. We stayed two nights and tried two rooms. The first had spring mattresses that were so old you could feel every spring while lying down. The second we suspect was a wooden box with a thing strip of foam on top. We often stay in hostels and are not typically picky travellers, but can't give a good review to this hostel as we both slept terribly. 

Short hiking trip

No frills and run down option across from
the main train station and very close to a Billa supermarket, which works conveniently if planning a trip to Bohemian Switzerland National Park.

Rooms are ok but could be cleaned better. It was clear that the tables weren’t being wiped. 1 bed private with separate private washroom is ok, except that since the bathroom door doesn’t have a key, others can use your washroom. No A/C, and some rooms don’t have windows. Some rooms are up 4-5 sets of stairs, and there’s no elevator. 

Common area and shared fridges was good to have, but a bit dirty. 

Keep your expectations low, but if you need a budget option here, this is fine. 

Budget option

Perfect location close to the railway station (but it was not noisy). We stayed in nice and clean room with our own bathhroom and toilet. Everything looked new and modern.
It is nice place for reasonable price.

Nice hostel for reasonable price

Perfect location, very nice receptionist. She recommended us an excellent place for dinner. We have the room from the picture (A) with private bathhroom. There is everything neccessary for preparing food if you want and a fridge.
There is not a TV and terrible hard mattresses.
The place needs urgent a major reconstruction! And please discard the bathroom pad.

Not bad place for 1 night

Perfect location for both comming by train or by bike. Easy to the city centre (10 mins walk). The rooms are just what you expect of a hostel, most of them with own WC/shower. FOC bike parking. All clean and rather new. Plus as there are normal flats in the house as well it is no way noisy. Only con is problematic parking should you come by car but not that bad.
