I arrived at the Panareti after booking last minute. As a solo traveler I wanted to go somewhere that I felt safe (which it did). I can honestly say that the staff were friendly and welcoming. I had a very large one bedroom apartment all to myself which was nice with an added bonus of free wifi.
I had a great break and would return again in the future.

Arrived on 27th December for 7 night stay as part of a group of family and friends. We were all pleasantly surprised at the large rooms, quality of food and drinks. Yes the place is a bit dated but the staff made up for that with their helpfulness. Indoor pool and jacquzzi were heated with towels available from reception if required. The newly appointed manager Edward is turning this hotel around and was very keen on our opinions for improvement. I am confident that this hotel will go from strength to strength and hope people will look beyond the negative reviews of old and give it a go.

Enjoyable Stay, Great Value

So we were spontaneous and decided to go on a cheap holiday in Feb of this year and found this hotel, with flights and transfers for £150 for the week. That ain't t be sniffed at so we snapped it up 😁 at that price I wasn't expecting much mind but I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are spacious and had a good variety of English channels and comfy enuf beds. Only downside was it was a challenge t get the electricity on with the big bronze thing attached to our keys and the shower holder was broke and water got everywhere. The buffet is way too small for the price u r paying but we only did this because we arrived late evening and with the hotel being way away from any form of nightlife, we decided to try it. They also struggled for change but there my only complaints and that getting petty. Most ppl here were all inclusive so there's why.
With the hotel being in the middle of nowhere it is a fair walk into the main strip of coral bay, and if u want the bus its even a walk t the bus route but personally I enjoy a walk in a hot country so no bother t me whatsoever. For the others..be warned. It is a bit run down but not half as bad as some of the reviews on here in my experience. If I came back for a cheap holiday I would return (but it wud have to be cheap) 😁

Arrive on a self catering holiday with friends, hotel was basic but suitable for our needs, we had a studio apartment and included was a Fridge, Microwave, Toaster, and 2 Ring hob. Granted it wasn't the best but we got by and managed quite well and most of all it was a clean place.
On the down side its about a 10-15 minute walk from the nearest bus stop and the surrounding roads are not the best for walking on so if you have small children a hire car might be a better option or take a buggy as the buses are very frequent and an all day bus pass is only 5 Euro

Good for a budget

There were 4 of us on this break three adults and a toddler. This was billed as a family hotel it isn't. There are three high chairs and only 1 should be in use as the other 2 are cracked. The food was poor to start and moved to reasonable in the evening breakfast was poor throughout.
The hotel in general is tired and in need of TCL the play area for children has flaking paint everywhere and the flooring is curling up in places and there are gaps between the tiles big enough for our toddler to fall over. 
 This is the only all inclusive hotel we have stayed in that treats all inclusive guests differently to other guests. The first evening we were given a menu and told that as we were all inclusive we could not order a starter as there was soup and salad out. We could only order a main. The bar service was poor due to the fact that the two waitresses were also doing the bar during meals.
This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel it does not come close to any of the other 4 star hotels we haves stayed in around the world. I would say it's a struggling 3 or a reasonable 2.
Outdoor pool dirty and indoor heated pool cold.
Seemed to us that the hotel had won lots of awards in the early 2000s and stopped there
Towels were changed once in the 7 day stay and the one day they changed the sheets they left the folded top sheet on top of the cover for us to do for ourselves.
Hotel quite isolated the nearest bus stop is a bit of a walk as is the beach.

Timewarrp hotel

Never ever! People pls believe those reviews.
This was worst hotel ever I been to. 
I stayed there with my two kids and partner only about 15 hours.
Arrived afternoon hungry and thirsty they had nothing to offer us.
Customer service is very bad. Not even one nice “Greek” person working there.
Male Receptionist didn’t even say Hello when we arrived to hotel. 
We felt very unwelcome ! We felt we r disturbing them.
Hotel was death , empty with such a unfriendly staff.
Only female cleaner was nice.
English female manager ... OMG ! Worst unfriendly rude woman. She heard and seen that my partner and kids r British she could at lest treat us with respect ....
I am still very upset when I think about them!
They treat us like pieces of **. Even we was friendly and polite to them.
Next day I was in that much stress that I packed our luggage’s and we left hotel.  My hand was shaking and we had only 20 mins for finding a new hotel online and check out. 
We didn’t care we had pre paid package holidays.
We have booked another hotel
On our own which cost us so much money but we had amazing all inclusive amazing staff and 12 entertainers!
As soon we came to New hotel they knew about what happened to us they was waiting for us ( managers) with  champagne and mocktails in hands!
They made it up for sure.
At the end of the day I am happy we left because I think we would die in this poor hotel with rude staff! 
And paying 5€per towel ? Shame on you !!!
Dirty pools, horrible use staff, in menu 5 types of food ( so u eating nonstop same food) 
Don’t pay for all inclusive . It’s not worth it.
They should Close down this hotel. Not for being old or bad but for the people work there !

Worst hotel ever

Absolutely worst Customer Service I have ever received at a Hotel.  From the minute we arrived, we were greeted with sour faces, no smiles, and was rudely spoken to.  We did not feel welcome at all, and most of the staff bar one cleaner were not really bothered in welcoming us or trying to make our stay a good one.

Even the British lady on reception snapped very abruptly at me and showed no kind of customer service skills whatsoever.

We arrived late afternoon, was greeted by a grumpy man, no emotion no welcome at all, he did not seem bothered at all that we were staying there as guests in the hotel. We tried to change our room as we were not happy with the view, but was told that the hotel was full.  In total for the whole afternoon/evening and daytime we saw a handful of other people in the hotel, and with no sign of life in the other rooms, so I don't really believe that.  The hotel was empty and almost deserted, no atmosphere at all, it was like a ghost town.

When we came down for dinner, the dining room was empty, so I went to the reception.  Nobody was in reception, so I popped my head around the corner to the office, where a British lady was sitting at her computer.  I asked her if there was anyone serving for dinner, and then she snapped very abruptly and waved me away quite rudely saying, "Oh just go there and someone will come".

There was very bad Mould on the walls and in the bathroom.

They charge 5 Euros per towel to purchase for use at the pool, which to me is a bit ridiculous, and would not let us use our bedroom towels. Again they were quiet abrupt and not very friendly when we were talking about this issue.

We complained to our Holiday Company “Love Holidays” who phoned up the hotel to complain on our behalf and yet we received no apology or were even spoken to by reception or any managers from the hotel about our issues, they just did not care.

In the end, we decided that our whole holiday would be ruined if we stayed there, so we arranged for a partial refund for our stay and I had to find my own hotel, pack our bags within 20mins so we could check out in time, which was very stressful.

It cost me an extra 1000 euros to find another hotel, on top of my original cost.

I paid a lot of money to get another hotel (Louis Phaethon Beach hotel) which I can say was 100 times better than the Paraneti.  

DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS HOTEL, IT HAS ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE STAFF WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS WHATSOVER.

There are no shops close by, no entertainment at the hotel, the pool was dirty, It was desserted too, the kids bed that was provided was a tiny sofa bed, which was not big enough for 2 kids. 

The only plus side was our room was fairly large and we had a separate room (the living room) for the kids.

Worst Customer Service Ever

This hotel and location beats others hands down for awfulness! Located absolutely in the middle of no where after described as being close to shopping and restaurants.  I arrived late evening with an 8 and a 5 year old who were hungry. Expecting a restaurant to be open  I was told my only option was to get a return taxi 20 minutes into paphos! The shop attached to the hotel was great if you could eat fridge magnets and sanitary pads or wanted to get incredibly drunk so we ended up paying 27€ on crisps, chocolate and biscuits for dinner! The next morning we had to walk 15 minutes to a bus terminal to then travel 40 minutes to the harbour to eat.  Luckily there is a very overpriced Lidl a 10 minute bus trip away followed by the 15 minute walk back from the terminal to the hotel with shopping bags and two young children. Our ground floor room looked out onto the back of the hotel and was covered in rubbish and cigarette ends. ..in the reception there is a 1970s electric fire that many of the guests huddle around to keep warm.. thank God I dress my children in fire resistant clothing or I'm sure they'd have gone up like a firework by now.  They had no change at the bar when I paid for my drinks so they still owe ME money from 2 nights ago... they appear to have forgotten about this. The male manager on reception is quite possibly THE most aggressive man I've ever met and insinuated I was a liar when I suggested he stop telling people the walk to the shops was 15 minutes... I informed him the BUS TERMINAL was 15 minutes to which he said I should have just kept walking. Not an option on a road with no footpaths, 2 children and drivers who seemed to think the road was Brands Hatch. NEVER AGAIN.. don't do it... unless you have a car you really are stuck or unless you want to go on a crash diet for a week or so as the restaurant food is wildly overpriced and revolting (in my opinion).
