I have stayed at this resort at least nine times in the past 15 years and have tried other resorts in Varadero but find the location, resort and staff to be the best by far. I don't think you will find a resort that offers 20 steps to the beach from the back door of the cocktail bar.

I had a really good holidays at Starfish Cuatro Palmas , I want to give an special recommendation to the entertainment team , they were so good and professional, also the service and the food at the buffet were great . The beach was as always a paradise

I had such a fun time at Starfish Quatro Palmas. The staff are very nice and friendly and it is full of fun travellers who want to make friends and enjoy life.

Grounds and rooms: beautiful and well maintained, no garbage, a very clean place. It is an older hotel and some rooms may show the age depending on what level of room you select but I never care about how the room looks as I only want to sleep and have it be free of bugs. My standard room in the main building above the pool was very clean and no bugs whatsoever not even an ant. Amazing view of the pool when you walk out the room.

Food: so good! Every day at the buffet I enjoyed freshly cooked beef and squid, shrimps and seafood and salad, cucumbers, and tomatoes plus other vegetables to make salads, dressing, no shortage of vegetables whatsoever. Freshly cooked pasta at the pasta bar, with shrimps and bacon and green pepper and your choice of sauce. Fresh fruit like papaya and pineapples and watermelon. The snack bar has great hamburgers and ham and cheese pizza. The international restaurant had delicious steak and lasanga and dessert. I highly recommend coming on new years as they food in the buffet was incredible, they worked very hard to make an amazing selection, including sushi, it was really very special. And for those complaining about supply - this resort has way more than the rest of the island! In Holguin where I am going next, people are complaining about not having eggs at all. At Starfish they had eggs 4 different ways, everyday, no shortage! 

Entertainment: The synchronized swimming show in the pool was fantastic and the Michael Jackson show. The entertainers showed us the best time on new years and we danced on the stage and popped champagne. They gave us new years accessories and noise makers and we had a blast. The entertainers are always putting on games and competitions with prizes and it is a very lively resort. 

The beach: absolutely beautiful as you'd expect, very clean, soft white sand and you can walk a long time in both directions. Lifeguards and security always on duty. Left my belongings unattended while I went on walks and never had problems as always in Cuba. 

Location: absolutely  perfect, right in the heart of downtown near all the fun bars like Calle 63 which is right across the street and makes great drinks and has street dancing and the bartenders are so nice and fun. There is a market square across the street where Calle is where there is also lots of other bars and places to get food, its so lively and colorful. Havana Club bar right across the street, very fun. You must check out Floridita bar where you will get the most amazing mango daquiri cocktails. I had lots of fun just walking to the end of the main strip and back, looking at all the cool homes and gardens, the bars and restaurants, the old cars and horse carriages, and of course Josone park, you must visit there, it is a paradise and Bar Varadero 1920 makes amazing cocktails right by the pond and has paddle boating.

All in all fantastic trip, I am very glad I chose this resort. 100% recommend, I love that it is so  different than the usual resort-only areas, the downtown location is unbelievable. Thank you Starfish! 

Awesome resort, had a blast, truly unique experience! 

Very nice clean resort!  Great staff!  Great location!  Excellent restaurants and buffet.  10 days rm 1337 w beautiful ocean views.  Anelys kept our room very clean and towel arrangements had us smiling everyday.  Mario took a lot of pride in keeping pool clean.  Bar, buffet and resto staff outstanding.  Animation team great entertainment day and night.  Can’t wait to return!!

New Years trip

Great service. Been here 12 times. Location is the best. Rooms are very clean and maids are so nice. Nice ocean front. Golf course not far a way. Great spot to be for everything. I recommend staying in the main building.  I had a nice balcony with pool view and also ocean view. My maid was amazing. Her name was Yaumara. She kept the room so clean and so friendly when I seen her in the hall while she was working
 If your lucky you will have the opportunity to meet her and have her keep your room spotless. 

COMPLETE PACKAGE IN AN AMAZING LOCATION

Loved this resort Angel the accommodation assistant manager was fantastic and all the staff were so good to us. Yankiel, Mercedes, Yitsy are the best. Beautiful beach and good variety of food in buffet. Cuban restaurant was our favorite. Only thing is that the rooms need a bit of updating but was still comfortable. We stayed in 1211 and had great pool view.

Starfish Cutras Palmas February 2023, our 2 week vacation

I had the luxury of staying another 2 weeks in this resort. This is my second stay at Cuatro Palmas in 2022. I LOVED it so much the first time that when I came back home from my trip, I went back after a week! 

Amazing staff and management. Juan Pablo and Cristian Ceballos were very helpful and accommodating to me once again. The front desk staff is also very friendly and helpful. The staff and management literally treat you like family here. Outstanding hospitality. 

The food is better than most places in Varadero! The entertainment is very good with live music, dance and entertainment every night. The beach bar, lobby bar and cocktail bar are all very good with great staff. Shout out to YAN in the lobby bar for always joking and making me laugh as always!  The rooms are always clean! The staff is always smiling :) 

Thank you to the staff and management for another 2 great weeks.  I will definitely be coming back to Cuatro Palmas this October and I am very excited to stay with you guys again!

Another Amazing Two Weeks at Cuatro Palmas

We were 11 of us and our experience as a couple was satisfactory. The food was good but more variety at buffet at night would of been excellent. 

The restaurant a la carte are AWESOME♥️

Asked for ground floor rooms for 3 couples who could not go up stairs and only got 1 room on arrival and got another one 2 days later (so 3rd couple had to do stairs) People have health problems so you need to remedy to this situation. If you cannot accommodate then you HAVE to mention it. 

Most of the staff are very friendly. We brought a whole bunch of stuff and distributed to many which were really happy! 

The rooms need a bit af love, some of my family members had these issues

-safe was not working
-curtain falling off rail
-door not shutting well and not locking

I definitely want to go back and hope the new owner will make things better. I do love your resort as this is ou 2nd time for my husband and I.

Good but needs improvement

This was my 3rd time in Varadero and my first time here at Starfish Cuatro Palmas and 90% of the staff was so nice and helpful. Theres these 2 old men bartenders at the 24hr lobby bar they were grumpy.... So don't mind those guys. The food was pretty impressive in the buffet, selection was a little small but the food taste the best i had at a Varadero resorts. Beach was absolutely amazing!!!! The best part of staying at Starfish Cuatro Palmas is the location. Great parties like Calle 62 and Beatles bars, both have no over change. Few blocks away from 2 nightclubs, they have a cover charge. But go to Club Havana! 5 min walk from the best restaurant called Varadero 60 definitely check that place out. Im coming back in a few month  !

Best location in Varadero!

Really nice hotel. Location is the best in Varadero. A lot of staff members speak french and most of them fluently english. Pool is cleaned . The beach id amazing and water is so clear. I can see my feet when I have water up to the neck. A big thank you to Elimay to make my stay the best and also the taller lady at front desk that I forgot her name.
