Valerie and Eric are incredible hosts and though they must work very hard to keep everything so perfect, they were always smiling. The cabinas are immaculately clean and have everything you need. There is no need for environmentally unfriendly AC, since they have well-placed fans and high ceilings that keep the rooms quite comfortable and the wood and natural surfaces are comfortable and gorgeous. The private terrace facing the pool and frog pond is well guarded from potential insects and you can easily observe the rich local wildlife, with the many birds, and butterflies and the like. The breakfast is one of the best we have ever had and was a multicourse event--they were so accommodating of my own dietary restrictions and were able to create alternatives to the already amazing course of hot beverage, salad and quiche/related dish, freshly made juice, panacotta or yogurt with homemade toppings, and a large portion of bread and pastries which they also made "to-go" when we could not finish the generous portions. They helped us arrange local tours, and have a great knowledge of the area and local activities. This was easily one of our favorite spots in Costa Rica and a future return trip!
