Hotel La Cascada Cristalina

This hotel sits just a few minutes outside of the business of Melgar. The pool and grounds are maintained very well. I know because I wake up early and the staff was always out there cleaning. My room was small, but very clean. This is not a 4 star resort, so expectations should be accordingly. They do have suites available, just not on the day I stayed. We ended up pulling in and asking if a room was available due to a fail at another hotel. This was an excellent find. Just what we needed. Breakfast was good, the price was even better (just under $3 USD for two of us). Across the street are some small tiendas that sell water at a lower price. I thought it was great. But I would not approach with superior expectations, just a good place to rest, enjoy the sun and visit Melgar from.
