Bo Go Hostel

My favourite hostel in South America so far. The vibe at this hostel is awesome. The rooftop is a great place to chill out, have beers and meet people. The pool table is the best I've found in a hostel in SA. But more than anything the staff were fantastic, we had some issues with our travel plans and the owner Juan went above and beyond to help get everything sorted our. Huge thank you, couldn't recommend this place enough

I stayed for a couple of nights in BoGohostel. I really enjoyed my stay, the volunteers were so friendly and helped me a lot thanks Andres, Tiko, Pat and Mariel for that. 

The rooftop is really amazing no joke. So relaxing after a day of activities. No joking.

For sure I will come back

Could not be happier with bogo, it was absolutely brilliant! That rooftop bar is a dream to be able to come back to and chill in the evenings! The volunteers also make the hostel what it is so thank you Elliot, Lukas and Hugo, you really helped us enjoy our time! Great hostel to meet people too as I think one night almost everyone staying there all went out to the same club together! Definitely worth a visit!

Had a great stay. Booked 3 days and ended up staying a week, very comfy.  Close to everything you need while being in a quiet enough spot to chill.  Juan is the best host, if you get a chance you should play his game.

We stayed four nights. Our female taxi driver from airport was slightly worried about the location.. it was 4.00am.. but we rang the bell, the night reception chap opened immediately, greeted us & took our bags to our 4-person dorm.  The area is perfectly safe (usual sensible rules apply.)
The beds were  made, spotless. Comfortable mattress & pillow. Each bunk has its own light and curtain.  
Location is perfect.  At the top of Calle 9 - 9&10 are my favourite Calendaria calles! Walk straight down the hill, past the beautiful theatre & government buildings and you reach Plaza Bolivar, .  
The hostel caters perfectly for travelers.  Everyone was swapping ideas and suggestions over a plentiful and adequate breakfast. There's a huge diary of tours & events in the reception area, together with leaflets such as walking tours around the city and up to Montserrate.
Upstairs on the 3rd floor the rooftop bar is a super end-of-day location with an honesty bar.  
One evening one of the staff took a few of us on a walk to see some of the bars.  Terrific interaction.
Showers good.  Spotless - the whole building is cleaned every morning.
Excellent calibre of guests when we stayed - serious travelers, all ages.
Very helpful - Avianca were on strike and we were worried about our flight to Cartagena being cancelled and the gorgeous day reception girl said to go out and enjoy our day and she'd sort everything for our return that evening. 
One of the best organised hostels I've stayed in.  Secure, practical, fun, professional.  Highly recommended. Thank you.



We stayed for 4 nights in the BoGo Hostel. The staff, especially Juan, he knows everything about Bogota, were to eat and things to discover or to do! He made our stay really enjoyable. The beds are very very comfortable and rooms & bathrooms are very clean. The hostel has an own bar on the roof, with a pool table and a fantastic view over the city.

The hostel is perfectly located within walking distance to most of the main sites in Bogota, and close to tons of great restaurants. The beds are very comfortable and equipped with privacy screens, lights, and outlets. The rooftop bar has amazing views of the city and very cheap drinks. The free breakfast was very filling.

The only downside was that the atmosphere is very hit or miss, as a lot of the volunteers do not really pay any attention to the guests. The hostel doesn't really organize many activities.

Friendly people and lovely view from the rooftop. Well located. Showers/bathroom weren't the greatest but fine for a couple nights. The whole hostel goes out to this club some nights which is quite fun.

Amazing Beds, Decent Atmosphere

Nice atmosphere, and people 

some of the volunteers were friendly, others were dismissive and stoned the entire time. Not too much vibe going on unfortunately. I visited other hostels in the area which had a much nicer atmosphere! 

That being said, it was mostly clean, location was good, price was right, 24 hour reception, lots of local info and the rooftop terrace has the potential to be really great.
