This is a 4 star hotel and it is worth 4 stars. The lobby is well designed and bright, giving guests a welcome feeling (at least to me). The bedroom is roomy with a T.V. monitor dividing the room into sleeping area and sitting area. It also has a kitchenette with fridge, micowave, kettle, tea cups and a nice counter. We had a relaxing rest. I don’t mine to go back again. If you want breakfast there is a restaurant on the 2nd floor; cost will be 38RMB per person.

A 4-star hotel

Hua Hong Hotel is located in north part of Zhongshan, in a very nice green area, but far from the downtown (30 minutes of walk or 10 minutes by taxi). It is rather oriented on Asian tourists, during my stay here I saw only few persons from other continents. The lobby is nicely designed, bright, with small bar, which I newer saw opened. On the 2nd floor there is an restaurant "City Food", which offerschinese food, but also two types of italian pasta and snacks. On mornings this restaurants serves breakfasts (not included to the room bill), which cost 38RMB. For people, who do not like chinese porridge, noddles and other chinese specialities, the choice is very limited: tosts, strawberry jam, boiled or fried eggs, sweet cackes and fruits. Enough to survivre! :)
I received a room ended with number 9, this is the smollest room on each floor. The bed was guite big and comfortable, during my stay in the hotel, bedclothes were changed every day. The room was clean, but furniture and walls needed any refreshment. The room was equipped with kettle and tea cups and a fridge. In the wardrobe (a little bit too small) was a safebox. The bathroom had a quite big shower space. During my stay each two days I received a plate with fruits (apple, banana, mango) for free. It was very nice. The biggest problkem was with communication. Only one lady in reception understood English, but very often she used electronic translator for communication. Other staff did not speak English and hey were very gloomy all the time. I also used loundry service, my shirts were back in my room after 3 hours, well ironed. WiFi works in typical chinese way. If you are tourist ot from China, I do not recomend this hotel, due to long distance form Zhongshan attractions. But if you are here for business and you do not want to pay a lot in downtown hotels, you can try this hotel. But remember, that four stars are not equal for its standard. It deserves for max. 3.

This hotel should receive a higher rating on Trip Advisor. The rooms are spacious and each come with a kitchenette. The interior decorating is satisfactory. It's located next to the Shangri-La, so although it's not very lively at night, there are options for entertainment and dining next door. The staff could improve its English ability, but it's good enough in light of the low price. The biggest problem with the hotel is the breakfast. If you need a good buffet with Western choices, then don't come here. But if you don't mind going elsewhere for food, then this place is excellent.
