I can not recommend Villa Verde highly enough for travel in this area of Yunnan. I have been in Dali several times and also travelled extensively throughout Yunnan and Villa Verde will offer you the warmest welcome as well as wonderful opportunities to experience local culture. The location is a Dream, with fantastic lake-side views of Erhai. The food is fresh, home-cooked and made from delicious local ingredients. Most importantly you will have access to Sunny who is co-owner of the hotel and herself a member of the Baizu local community. As soon as you travel with her you find out that she knows everybody and everything about the local area and beyond. Balancing that her husband Gerard is from Holland but has lived in Dali for many years. Together they make the perfect hosts for rewarding travel in this beautiful part of Yunnan.

No mosquitoes. Excellent hospitalty . Great view. Nice comfortable room. Beautiful decoration. The owners are always there, so you don't need to deal with service who are only there for there salary..

We spent a few days at the hotel during our tour in Yunnan,this family boutique hotel is located next to the lake, food was great and rooms are modern and clean.Hotel staff very friendly especially Sunny(owner) who arranged for us a local minority dance show which was very special.

Excellent hotel

A cosy new built small hotel with European  influences like architecture and cleanliness!
The owners are devoted people as well as their team.
They served us a wonderful breakfast and a lovely diner.
Lots to see and to do in the environment.

An oasis in south-west China

During our tour of west and south China we stay two nights in this beautifull hotel.
It was a friendly and warm welcome by Gerard en Sanny and they were very helpfull.
We get a very nice and clean room with a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains.
Because we unfortunately had only one day they gave directly appropriate tips so we could choose what we want to do the next day. We like to walk so they take us for a walk along the lake. After that we would like to see a beautiful village so they took us to a village with a lot of Bai people in their beautiful costumes. If you go to China Yunnan I can highly recommend this beautiful and clean hotel with friendly and helpful people.
