Tree Lodge Nidos de Pucon

I went to this place on my honeymoon. It was awesome, the caretaker was responsive and even though we showed up after normal hours he was there very quickly. He was the nicest guy and he showed us around and gave us a small bottle of champagne to celebrate too! The treehouse: big bed, rustic, but elegant decor, a whirlpool tub, separate shower, wrap-around balcony, small living room. There was plenty to heat the place and a small honor-bar as well. It was comfy and cozy and hard to believe that it was in a tree! I watch that Animal Planet show Treehouse Masters from time to time and could totally be a creation from that show (Although, I am sure it isn't). The secluded nature of the houses is great! You can't see your neighbors at all so you can relax and enjoy the quiet of the Andes' foothills. There was a storm the night I was there and we were enjoying being in for the night relaxing in our luxurious room's hot tub. The bed was very comfy and good for resting up for the day hike we had planned the next day. It's within driving distance to great hiking trails, natural hot springs, and the town of Pucon, which has some good restaurants. Google maps did send us down the wrong back road to get there at first. We likely just missed the turn... because there was a large dark gate with Nidos de Pucon emblazoned on it. It was set back from the road a bit so perhaps easy to miss. I will have to make my way back there someday to stay longer!
