I see many people have enjoyed this place and it has a great location and I do not want to be a killjoy. However sometimes you judge according to price and as we were desperate to stay in Bahia Inglesa we paid nearly £100! So much more than in other places. More than twice what we usually paid. If we had known we would have gone to stay in Caldera which is really nice and a cheap taxi ride away..  . Also the owner would not waive the 19% IVA which hoteliers can do if they do the.  The room was nice and in boutique style so that was pleasing. The owner was offhand with us -probably as we were older (not much older than him !) 

When it came to breakfast next morning he did not explain how it was fixed or bother to get on his feet and show us. So we found an open air kitchen area and groped around and other guests told us how to locate bread,little boxes of ham and cheese and heat our own water on the gas and then wash up. Not dirty really but nowhere to sit and a bit icky. As someone who has travelled around the world when young I have no quarrel with laid back but this should be in a cheap places. At nearly £100 I expect much much more. Perhaps prices dive in low season and match what is offered.

Nice room but expensive and youth hostel breakfast

First, the positives:
- great location, backing on to the beach (you can walk into town along the beach but it isn't lit at night)
- pleasant communal outdoor seating and kitchen area
- our room seemed clean and pretty modern (if you didn't look too closely). Some rooms have balcony and sea views.

But, there were a number of negatives:
- we had a room at the back on the ground floor. The room above had a balcony next to our bathroom vent. It honestly sounded like they were in the room with us, even with the bathroom door closed - awful!  Sound-proofing between the rooms was not much better and in the morning we had to listen to our neighbours having sex (at least they seemed to be having a good time, unlike us...)
- we were required to pay cash, and pay the tourist tax, even though they have a 'visa' sign in the office. Apparently this was because we booked through Booking.com.
- i'm pretty sure the room rate was supposed to come with free breakfast, but there was none.

The only other point to note is that on site parking spaces are limited. We had to park in the street (but no problems).

Great location but...

This guesthouse is terrific. On passing through Bahia Inglesa we checked it out and booked 2 nights for later in our trip. We would happily have stayed for a week.
Flavio is a gem; he greeted us like long lost friends when we returned to stay, offered us a choice of rooms and then opened a bottle of champagne - how good is that? We communicated excellently in Spanglish and enjoyed our DIY breakfasts in the open-air kitchen/living space surrounded by eclectic art/objets trouves.

Our room was simply and tastefully decorated with a chic, well-equpped bathroom. Direct access to the beach means the only sounds to be heard are the waves making a room with a sea view a must.

I recommend Nautel 100%.

The Best!

Such a nice stay in this beautiful little hotel! Picturesque location right on the beach. Beautiful clean room with ocean views.
The owners were amazing and actually ended up saving our trip through Chile because we almost missed our bus to San Pedro. They organised to have us driven to the terminal because no taxis were running and then checked to make sure we got the bus ok. This was after they let us check out at 8pm after only paying for one night! Unbelievable hospitality! Must stay here if you are going to Bahia Inglesa!

Very expensive for what it is 
One of the rarest hotels who made us pay the 19% tax that usually tourists do not pay
After the first day the breakfats bread ( that u prepare on your oen )  was uneatable 
First day we had a terrible room
Than they changed it for a little better one 
Towels had holes 
No soaps in the bathroom
Well for 170$ /night i say that this is a shame !
