Wonderful accommodations and location! Walking distance away from wonderful gourmet foods, either to bring back to Widor or eat in restaurant. Easy walking access to all the Old Quebec sites! And to top it all off, the best host you will ever experience. We can’t say enough good things about Le Widor.

We had a lovely stay at Le Widor.Sophie is a wonderful and extremely helpful host. Rooms are clean and spacious.. Check in was straight forward and we were able to leave our bags when we arrived early.
We would definitely stay here again!

Simply superb. A comfortable room with an enormous bathroom. Breakfast was perfect. Ideally situated for a 20 minute stroll into the  city centre. Would definitely recommend. Sophie was the consummate host.

Le Widor was amazing! The location was perfect, just outside of old Quebec and everything was within walking distance. Sophie and chef Robert were amazing and so kind. Everything was clean and wonderful. Thank you so much for your hospitality and we would definitely come back here again.

We chose Le Widor principally for its convenience to the Old City but still in a nice quiet area, however the room became our favourite of all the boutique hotels and B&Bs we've stayed.   It is very spacious in size with classy decor and a welcoming common area kitchen and porch.   Sophie is a charming host and allowed us to park our rental car in one of her garage spaces for a very reasonable charge.    We loved every minute of our stay and will stay again next time!

Our hostess was wonderful, friendly and very helpful with tips for restaurants and places to see. The location was amazing. The next street over had wonderful food choices, great bakery shops with outdoor eating available. And walking the other way led us down to the gates to the old city, the citadel and Hotel Frontenac. Hotel Widor is an ideal spot to stay.

My wife and I had such a wonderful stay at Le Widor! Our hostess Sofie was so welcoming, helpful and friendly and made our stay even more special. The home was very nicely decorated, clean and had nice amenities. The location was in a great neighborhood and a short walking distance to old Quebec City. We highly recommend it!

Sophie was a perfect host and went out of her way to be accommodating. (She even allowed us to charge our electric car in her garage). The bedroom and bathroom are very large and comfortable, suitable for an extended stay. The Widor is within walking distance of Old Quebec City and in a safe residential neighborhood. We highly recommend this property.

My wife and I are in our 70's and have stayed in many different types of places in our nearly 50 years of traveling together and we both agree: the three nights we spent at Sophie's B & B was the best experience of all of them. The building is lovely, well situated for our visit (walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go - old city in one direction, art museum in the other, and Ave Cartier in between. Sophie was a delight, the room was large, well-lighted, tastefully modern with new windows and very nice art, with a newly renovated feel all around, including the large and functional bathroom. There is a full kitchen and dining area down the hall for the use of guests where breakfast is prepared and served, if you choose to include it. We did, and it was quite wonderful. For this early anniversary trip we ate out, but normally I like to cook when we travel and this was one of the best equipped kitchens I've encountered.Sophie is quite fluent in English, but also very happy to converse in French with my wife, who is fairly fluent and very much a Francophone. I am not, but I really enjoyed the animated conversations between them. In short, there is not a single thing we would do to improve on our visit -- great bed, quiet with windows closed (it was March) despite being on the Grande Allee, comfortable in every way, including great towels.  We have visited QC many times, always staying in a different location, but from now on Le Widor will be our only choice.

Earlier this year, in preparation for our several week trip to Canada, we came across your wonderful B&B.
Quebec was our second stop on the trip and we were really looking forward to this city and our accommodation. We received such a warm welcome, although we arrived at your place earlier than expected. The room so spacious and tasteful, great bathroom - so nice. We spent two beautiful days in Québec and often think back to your great "Bijou". You have renovated everything so stylish and beautiful. I was very impressed by your big kitchen where you served us a great breakfast. You are a great host! We are very happy to recommend your B&B Le Widor.

Amazing B&B with a marvelous host

This was absolutely the BEST B&B we have ever stayed at. The owner, Sophie, welcomed us so warmly. She provided us with excellent information for our stay. She spent time talking with us and getting to know us. Her breakfasts were phenomenal (home baked goodies, quiche, and delicious bread pudding!)The room was immaculate, and she has put a lot of care into updating her house. Her home is within walking distance to the Quebec City sights. This is the place to stay when visiting the area. Sophie, thank you so much for our wonderful stay. I wish we could have stayed longer😊

Best place in Quebec city. Well appointed rooms with comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast. Sophie is the most amazing host, as always.

The lication is ideal. We walk to restaurants and some shops. Walk to the old town and many other points if interest.

We would never consider staying anywhere else!



Amazing host, great location. The perfect stay in Quebec City.

We knew withing the first 5 min at Le Widor that we were in a very special place! Sophie has transformed this historic home into a beautiful space that captures the charm of the old, while incorporating modern comforts. Our room was comfortable and spacious, super comfortable bed & shower, and AC was quite welcome! Everything is sparkling clean, and as-advertised! Perfect location, 5 -10 min walk to groceries, restaurants, park, & art museum, and 25 min walk to Old Quebec City (a couple times we planned to take the bus back from Old Quebec and bought a Le Bus (blue) ticket at the convenience store on Cartier St around the corner from Le Widor - only about $3-4 per person, one-way - bus system was quite easy and the #11 bus goes all the way to Old Quebec, there is a stop right by Le Widor). There are so many great restaurants, but Don Vegan in Old Quebec was our fav. There is a public parking lot just across the street - we may use this on a future trip if we happen to drive. The neighborhood was clean, felt safe, people were friendly. It seems most locals appreciate when English speaking visitors make an attempt to speak French, but many people are bi-lingual, so finding someone to speak English is not an issue. The complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings was delicious. We did not opt for the breakfast, but it looked delicious, fruit was fresh and baked goods & quiche were home-made! Beautiful little deck off of the kitchen was delightful for sipping our coffee in the mornings (there is also a lovely backyard space for sitting, which even includes a grill!). Having full kitchen access was perfect for our needs. Sophie's space is mindful of environmental needs and encourages recycling, composting, and stocks the shower/bathroom with environmentally responsible products. Sophie's staff are professional and lovely, all of them give the same warm and genuine customer service that Sophie does herself. Sophie is the perfect hostess, she was accessible and helped us with whatever little thing we needed. Additionally, she has thought of so many little comforts around the home and in the rooms that make the difference between a "good" place and a "great" one! There are lots of places to stay in the area, but we already know there is only one for us! - We'll be coming back to Le Widor!
