We rented the 2 bedroom suite (60 Market st) the weekend of August 25th. We were very disappointed when we discovered that the apartment did not correspond at all to the description on the site. The apartment is classified 4 stars but is not worth more than 2 stars. It is located under the roof and the window air conditioner is noisy.
It is rustic, not well equipped and with a partial view of the marina. The sofa is very uncomfortable and worn. The access staircase is covered with worn carpet.
The site offers for rent three units, including a loft. This loft is maybe classified 4 stars but certainly not the other 2 units. On the other hand, we paid for 4 stars, 270CAD per night for 2 people. This price is exorbitant for the benefit.
We do not recommend booking with this renter.

Fake description

The fact that the hosts consider this place as a 4 stars is a joke! 
First of all, we tried to call the hosts before our arrival but no answer. We sent them an email and finally we received an answer but they never called us back. 
The place is very old and dark, we didn't even dared to sit in the sofa, so much it looked disgusting. There was no coffee or bottle of water in the flat. And we had to buy toilet paper (!!) since the hosts didn't provide enough rolls. There was no shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom. Way too expensive for what it is. The place need to be renovated or you need to decrease the price.

Disappointing

Our group of 8 ladies spend a great weekend at the condo at 111 King St, Gananoque. The condo is very large and allowed our group of ladies to  sit at the same table and enjoy our breakfast together. The condo gave the feeling of a New York loft with it's extremely high ceilings, room partitions that did not reach the ceiling and exposed piping. The condo was clean, the beds comfortable and the living area of the condo allows everyone to be in the area at the same time and not feel crowded. The only disadvantage is that while there are 3 bathrooms in the condo, there is only one shower, a second shower would be terrific. The long flight of stairs up to the condo does take some effort. The location of the condo is great, close to stores and within a short walk to the water and the theatre. A great place for a group getaway.

Felt like a New York City Loft

Just back from a wonderful weekend in Gananoque.  I'm so glad we switched from a hotel to this location.  We could not have found a better location for the money we spent.  We had 5 people and although the one we rented was for 4 they let us bring our own cot/bed to put in the living room for the 5th person.  We could walk to the beach, boat launch and even in to town.  It was also great to have a fridge, microwave and more to have quick breakfasts in the room and snacks in the evening.  I would definitely return here!!!  Much better than staying at a hotel!!
