We stayed for two nights at this little beautiful hostel and my word what a cosy little gem it is. We felt so good in our room with the amazing view over the harbor. The bed is comfy and spacious and the everything is clean and well-cared. We enjoyed every second. And maybe we will come back if we visit Tofino again.

Very cozy rooms overlooking the harbour.  Right downtown and close to everything.  Friendly check in.  Excellent value for money.

Shared bathrooms were super clean.  I was very happy to find this place available in the peak summer season.  Would stay again.

Great Value, Great Location.  Cozy

Brilliant location right on the waterfront, we had an amazing view from our room. Comfortable room and decent shared bathroom (only 5 rooms in total, so waiting was never a problem). Really friendly staff, and could book kayaking trips etc in the shop downstairs. Well equipped shared kitchen, with free tea/coffee. Lovely veranda downstairs to sit and watch the wildlife

Brilliant little hostel with amazing views

Lovely hotel. Hands down the best view in Tofino on the covered patio facing the port. Cute little cafe to get some espresso or treats.
John and his team, but especially him are so nice and lovely and kind. Would recommend 1000%

Extraordinary

We felt lucky to get 4 nights at this wonderful inn. Our first two nights we had a larger room on the road side with two twin beds. It was Saturday and we were a little concerned about noise from the roads. Never heard a sound. Slept separately, but slept soundly. After two nights, we moved over to an oceanside room, with a queen bed. The room was a little smaller, but this was really not an issue. There are two bathrooms shared amongst guests, but not once did we ever have to wait for a bathroom. Having the one bathroom downstairs was excellent to use on your way out or just getting back. 
   There is a covered deck overlooking the ocean that was a wonderful place for a break. We would make coffees in the morning in the shared kitchen and then take them downstairs to the deck and catch the sunrise. We saw a Heron and a kingfisher that were frequent guests and a family of otters playing and a seal. All from the comfort of the deck drinking our morning coffee. Included in our stay was free drip coffee from the cafe. I think we may have abused this, and I apologize now, because I don't think we tipped very often and for the incredible service we received, we really should have. Afternoon coffee was just as pleasant as our morning coffee, and had some wonderful and informative conversations with other guests and with the owner. In the evening, we often brought take out dinners back to the deck. Most restaurants had long wait times, so getting take out and having someplace nice to eat was great. 
   The location was absolutely perfect. Tofino is such a small town that we could walk everywhere, and using Paddler's Inn for a base was extremely convenient. There was concern about parking, but we never had an issue, and often joked about having our own spot right in front. We saw some of the other hotels as we drove to some of our hikes, but realized that being outside of town, would be really restrictive in our food choices or shopping or wandering the galleries.
   The owners were super friendly and accomodating. There were no issues, even with covid protocols, with the shared kitchen or bathrooms. Everything was clean, and sanitizers were available everywhere. We would definitely stay here anytime we visit Tofino.

Wonderful

Had a beautiful stay here in April 2019. Magical sunsets viewed from the deck. Beautiful room and gorgeous location. Super efficient check in and the café downstairs was a treat. My family had stayed here previously and I’m looking forward to staying here again.

Treasure

Staying at Tofino’s Paddler’s Inn is a good choice when visiting this nice coastal city. The inn is very well located, has a nice waterfront view for certain of the rooms (choose wisely when selecting online, we had room 3) and the downstairs area for coffee in the morning.

The rooms are of good quality, very clean, and quite comfortable. The welcome package includes indications on where to park in Tofino, as this is not extremely easy to understand for visitors. 

Only drawback is that we did not get to interact much with our hosts during our 2-nights stay in Tofino.

A pleasant stay in Tofino

Stumbled on this because coffee was advertised in the window,  Wow, what a stunning location, sitting at the back of the shop on a veranda overlooking the water, boats, float planes, sea lions etc.  Beautiful.  And the coffee was good with great people serving.

I almost don’t want to write this, I want to keep this place a secret. The more people know about it the busier it will become. 
The Paddlers Inn not only has the most fantastic views from the kitchen and two of the rooms, but fantastic people appear to stay here. 
Mum and I had booked three nights and were not sure what to expect. What we discovered was this little place has a fully kitted out kitchen with quality pots and pans. Free tea and coffee and free milk in the fridge. Two toilets and showers, upstairs and downstairs. Decent sized rooms with heaters that worked well, we had typical Tofino weather (rain) so put them to the test. I had been worried about the parking but didn’t struggle to find a place and simply moved the car when needed. I am not convinced anyone would have checked to be honest. 
The coffee shop was great downstairs, it sells books and a few little gifts. The view from the kitchen was stunning and the people who we met were stunning too. We spent many a night debating, finding out about each other’s culture and of course sharing a drink. Rules are quiet after 22.00 which everyone respected. 
I truly loved this place, I fell in love with Tofino and I also loved all the people I met here.
If you have the opportunity stay, do and enjoy the views and ambience and people. But please don’t tell anyone.
And yes it’s clean, it’s warm and it’s quiet. The bar over the road is noisy but you have ear plugs to deal with that. 

Shhhhhh keep it secret

The location is great and it is only a 150m away from the bus depot. Restaurants and shops are everywhere. If you like kayak and the nature, that is the place and you must not miss it. They have a lovely veranda at the back, facing the sea. If you have time, check out the Tonquin Trail, only 2hrs for return (to Middle Beach).
