We stayed here for one night and it was lovely! Charlie was really nice and made a great breakfast! The bed was really comfy and there was everything you would need in the room. It was in walking distance to everything and it had a very relaxing atmosphere. We would 100% stay here again!

Great Location!

The house was in an ideal location within a wonderfully historic town. The B&B looked very authentic and beautiful upon first arrival.  We had to call our host upon arrival as he did not live there, but he arrived very quickly to welcome us and was very friendly.  Our room looked ideal upon first inspection, as we had a separate private entrance from the outside. However, we quickly noticed that the room had a 'musty' smell (moldy & dusty), and we could see spider webs hanging from the ceiling.  There was also very little air circulation, and the room was quite stuffy. The bed was clean but was very old and squeaky, with a poor selection of pillows. Neither of us slept very well that night. The breakfast was simple (eggs, bacon, and fruit) yet satisfactory.  A few relatively minor upgrades would make this B&B a wonderful place to stay (good cleaning, ceiling fan, and new bed). 

Amazing Location but could use some TLC

The host is very helpful and charismatic.  The B and B location made it easy to walk to the Historical Gardens, Fort Anne and shops & restaurants downtown.  A pleasant surprise to have a full breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast instead of just muffins or pastries.

Wonderful

Stayed for a few nights in the lovely town of Annapolis Royale and had a nice stay at this inn. Innkeeper Charlie was quite accommodating and helpful about the area and things to do, restaurants, etc. location is excellent as you can walk to shops, restaurants, and historical sites. Room was comfortable and breakfast was good - nothing fancy but a good start to the day - with good coffee and plenty of it! 

An improvement would be to clean the rooms thoroughly as my room would have benefited from a thorough dusting - although I know with old houses dust just happens. Clean bathroom but the used bars of soaps should have been tossed.

Great in town location

We were booked into an Inn room on a package tour. We arrived to find the door open and notes and keys left out. We were allocated the garden room which is not on the inns website. On inspection its a not very nice room above the garage over a stony garden. it was very smelly and one of the skylight windows had no covering. My husband has a pacemaker and susceptible to damp he started coughing immediately. you also get no wifi in the garden room. The host Charlie was lovely , very chatty and informative. He does not live onsite but is available by phone. You get free run of the house so we stayed and used our computers and the lounge has the only Tv. we went for dinner and went back to the garden room and hubby started coughing again . We phoned Charlie and got moved to a rom in the main house with 2 single beds. This was fine and we were happy but should have been in an inn room in the first place I suspect we were bumped to accommodate 4 people travelling together. Breakfast was lovely ham and eggs, fruit and yoghurt. location is great on main street but the garden room is not a good room so avoid this and the rest of the rooms are good.

Great host watch out what room you get

Charlie was very friendly and accommodating- provided a gluten-free breakfast. Location is across the street from Fort Anne and is a short walk to all the sites and restaurants. Large front porch with comfortable chairs to watch world go by. Rooms were spacious, airy and clean. Very comfortable beds and good bathroom facilities. Would definitely recommend. 

Great Location

We visited Annapolis Royal last week and had a two night stay at The Turret B and B. Our room was cosy with an electric fireplace to take the chill out of the air. The mantle, furnishings and bedding were all lovely. Our bathroom was a little tight but functional. Breakfast was held in the formal dining room where our host Charlie served bacon, eggs, toast, fruit salad and very good coffee.

Great location, wonderful host.

Traveling  through Nova Scotia and spent two nights at this Inn. Charlie was welcoming although he does not live on site, he does leave notes and how to access if he is not on property. We had the Cottage room which was quiet but with no air conditioning, it was a bit warm, there was a breeze that helped. Charlie makes breakfast in the morning of eggs, bacon, toast, juices, fruit and yogurt. He is interesting and has had this Inn for a short time having acquired from the previous owner who retired after many years. I believe he is still finding his footing in this business. You can walk anywhere from the Inn which makes it quite attractive.

Great location!

Cute B&B, Great host!

Room was comfortable and reasonably clean, although the toothbrush holder in the bathroom was not clean and there was dust on the bed frame.  The beds were comfortable.  It was odd that we were not met by the host but let ourselves in via a note on the door.  Our host, who we met next morning, was congenial.  Our breakfast the first morning was good, but the next morning we were asked to have one egg as he was running low.  The next couple was offered two eggs, which I thought odd.  It appears we were the only ones asked to have one egg.  We had to ask for a second cup of coffee.  The inn and rooms were what we expected in a heritage building. The service was friendly.  We would have liked a cup of tea and a cookie or sweet at the end of the day but since the host was not around, and there was nothing put out, we went without.  The location is perfect.  While we don't mind looking after ourselves, we would prefer a host who provided a bit more contact.
