I've stayed here upon arriving in Phnom Penh during a period where covid roamed the world. Cambodia was still almost unaffected and the hostel was relatively empty.

There were only a few guests but everybody was very well taken care of. The reception was still manned 24h a day. 

The people that work here work with love and attention. They truly care about their guests.

I found it amazing to see how the staff was trying to find new ways of surviving during covid. Including new menu's and selling little cactus plants.

The beds were decent and the private room small but affordable. Highly recommended for people that want some privacy and rest, for the price of a hostel.

Best Hostel during Covid

Great experience! Staff is lovely, beds are good, the place is well localized near the center. The hostel serves meals at very good prices and offers free coffee, tea and water anytime. It also has laundry service and comfortable commom areas where hosts from various countries can meet. The only thing that could be a little better is the toilet cleaning - I stayed in a shared room and it got progressively more wet and messy, but I think it's understandable. Summing up, it's a good-vibe place petfect to sleep, eat and mingle.

Lovely place

We had a good night in the hostel. The beds were huge and comfy. The food was tasty and worth it. Nice social environment and not a noisy area. 

You can book various tours and bus for your next destination. 

Such a good welcome in Cambodia

What a great place! The receptionist are all super helpful and nice trying to make your stay a great one. They helped me to make my way to the genocide museum and killing fields the cheapest way and also to choose a good bus company to go to Siem Rep. Always with a smile! When I arrived I realised the sheets of my bed were a bit dirty so they upgrade me to a 4 bedroom instead of my 19 bedroom one, so nice! The room was clean and the sheets are extra soft and my bed was a double one! The common areas are really nice and invite people to hang around chatting nicely. The only down side is that breakfast is not included and its not cheap either... But you can easily find local cheap places in the area. I would 100% recommend and stay again if I come back to Phnom Penh! :)

Awesome

Staff was friendly and will tour you once you check in. Superior single bed was provided with a lock. Toilet was clean. Book for 8 people room but get 6 people room. So nice. Kitchen is there, and morning will have free coffee. Food was nice

Satisfy

When I got to Phnom Penh I was in a bit of shock. Compared to the beauty of Siem Reap, the city was disappointing. But Sla's welcome, comfortable atmosphere more than made up for it. On check in, I was given a map and list of city highlights including food, shopping, tourism, and night life points of interest. The clerk then showed me the board where guests could see the free nightly activities available in the lobby and sign up for the shared (and hostel-owned) Tuk-tuk to the killing fields and S-21. Then she showed me the kitchen, and took me upstairs to show me the amenities of my room and make sure I was comfortable before leaving me to settle in.

The rooms were dark and quiet, with each bed partitioned off by curtains. I'm glad I didn't have the bunk above mine, though, because the A/C unit was mounted there and I'm sure it would have been a cold stay.

The Tuk-tuk tour really wine me over on the hostel, though. For a split cost, five of us boarded the tuk-tuk and headed out to the killing fields in the morning. Our driver encouraged us you eat lunch at the neighboring restaurants and waited patiently for us, then took us back in town to S-21. It was a full day tour, and my share of the ride was a mere 5 USD. (We bought our own tickets... Definitely get the audio guide.)

The evening activities varied from cooking lessons to a showing of "First they Killed my Father," and there's always somebody around to chat with in the lobby... Just remember that the shape of the building makes a bit of an echo chamber up to the bedrooms, and don't get too loud. :)

Really made my stay in Phnom Penh

We stayed in a private room/shared bathroom and found it so clean and comfortable. The private room was a little on the small side especially with our big bags, but it did the job for the few days.
The bathroom and common areas were all kept clean, and the breakfast in the morning was lovely, always served with a smile from the staff! 
We did the shared tuk-tuk tour of the Killing Fields and S21 Prison which was an excellent way to visit both sights in the one day- highly recommend!

Lovely hostel!

The good: Very helpful and friendly staff.
Daily activities like movie night and cooking classes.
Great selection of breakfast and dinner and good prices.
Nice communal area with bar and kitchen.
Free tea and coffee in the morning.
Good location near bars, restaurants etc. Mini mart at the end of the street.
Small locker for valuables with free padlock rental.
Free hand sanitiser 
The bad: 1 bathroom per floor means you are sometimes waiting a long time.
WiFi on the 3rd floor does not work.
Can be very noisy in the morning especially if the staff start cleaning beds and bathrooms at 8/9 am!
In our room the aircon was trapped in someone's bed so if they closed their curtain no one else got cold air and it got very hot.


Good

The staff was kinda not accommodating when I told him I cannot accept riel since we won't be staying long and will travel to Vietnam the next day.
Also, when I asked prior to our stay about credit card they said that they accept it yet when we arrived they told us that they only accept cash.

Overall, the place is good and their beds are very comfortable.

No Credit Card Only Cash

A nice hostel, with friendly staff and clean rooms. It's not a party hostel so is a good place to book for comfort and a chilled out time. Only downside was my shower that barely ever had any hot water.
