Charming hotel, great service and superb location. I recommend the top floor rooms - they offer the best views. I really enjoyed the princess sandwiches and pancakes for breakfast at Pinko cafe. Everything is within walking distance. Highly recommended!

Charming hotel with superb customer service; great location

Our nicest hotel in 18 days through 5 Eastern European countries and the most reasonable rates. In the heart of old town a few blocks from the Castle and a very nice breakfast. Air conditioning works perfect. Owner Peter is a very helpful host. If I could rate this place 7 stars I would. 

Excellent hotel

Spent one night here. For what I paid it was extremely great value. Peter at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. The room on the 3rd floor was in very good condition. WiFi. Aircon and very clean. The breakfast was also great value. The hotel is right on the main street so location could not be better. All the main attractions are within a short walk away. A really nice family run hotel. Top marks all around.

Great location, bad servicies. The staff is friendly, yet very few speak English and it is practically impossible to communicate with them to find out information. The hotel has a very good location, being located near the entrance to the fortress. The room where I was housed in Level 2 has a poor and obsolete appearance, I felt like I was back in time for about 50 years. Old furniture disturbs not only visually, but also because of the heavy smell. So did the towels, they had a horrible odor. Overall, I can say it was an unpleasant experience at a fair price. We chose this location because we did not find a place in another hotel at that time.

Great location, bad servicies

we stayed here for 3 nights after hostel mostel make a mess of our booking done in march n inform us that we no longer ve our double room for sat 4 june.
Hotel kiev is an old hotel with blinds that do not shut properly but at least they are reliable in a great location in town near shops with a busstop just outside the door and taxis waiting opposite.
The rooms are spacious and clean and air cond work perfectly,double glazed windows to keep the road noise down,comfortable beds and a great view of the fortress if u stay on the 3rd floor.
They ve a lift which is a bonus.
We opt for the 1st floor and our bathroom window looks down on gurko st and the valley n perfect view of asen monument.
The 2 nice ladies though dont speak alot of english are really kind n try their best to help us.
They even gave us breakfast at 0630 so we can leave  for zapad bus station at 0700.
Our room is big and cheaper than hostel mostel.
Breakfast consist of egg,ham,cheese,toast n jam n tea or coffee. It might b small but enough .
It is a lovely place.wifi works in the rooms.
I had a lovely stay despite the bright room in the mornings.
