Rock Farm Guest House

I am terribly late in writing this well deserved review. My husband and I are frequent Belize visitors and stayed at Rock Farm for a night on arrival day during our last trip. Our only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer and we were all sad to leave the next morning for previously made plans. This was the first taste of Belize for our 18 & 23 year old daughters and I couldn't have asked for a better experience from the guest house itself but mostly everyone involved there. Nikki and Jerry took so much of their very busy time to talk to us about BBR, the birds themselves and Belize. It was such a pleasure to spend time there. We had two rooms at the guest house, the Toucan and Yellow Head Room. The two beds in the Yellow Head Room was a great setup for the girls, both rooms had a ton of space. The large bathroom and balcony in the Toucan room were a terrific bonus as well. While we loved both (very clean) rooms, the property just stole the show. It's simply beautiful there, get up early and take a walk! You're surrounded by amazing sounds, birds everywhere and a pristine river to swim, relax and just enjoy right on property. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio with Jerry the next morning, the food was fantastic and the fruit, wow. It was magical watching the various birds come up to eat and just to see many of these wild birds enjoying their freedom due to Belize Bird Rescue's dedicated work. We are firm believers in spending our money to support those who make a difference whenever we can and everything about Rock Farm Guest House meets that goal. Here's the deal though, there is no sacrifice here in order to help. Any money you spend for the experience of staying here and being part of BBR each night gives you a memorable Belizian experience that you can't put a price tag on. (That said though, Rock Farm is an amazing value!) A few other things... - Take time to wander and explore the property! It is well worth your time. - Ask questions and learn more! It was great learning some of the specific stories about the birds, now we're able to "follow" their lives on BBR social media. -Book direct on their site -Participate in Pack for a Purpose! (Details on their site) A small bit of your suitcase space can be a HUGE help to the birds. -This is a GREAT location to be a "home base" for your Belize adventures, there is so many options for day trips from Rock Farm.
