We have been in this place many times before and surely will come back. The best hotel in the Ardennes. Beautiful views , environment, many hikes start from there. Nice and clean rooms. Fantastic food. Safe to enjoy holiday during the corona pandemic. One recommendation for breakfast could be to have more options for eggs preparation 🙂. 

Short break during corona time

The hotel is just perfect, nice rooms, good breakfast, smiley and nice staff!
The location is perfect for who wants to relax in the green. The “spa” is also very nice, spending one hour there was just magic. 
Cost/satisfaction ratio for the stay was great!!!

Fantastic stay

We were very lucky to find La Grande Cure!!

There we were 6 motorbikers let down just 48 hours before we were to catch a ferry for a road trip to Belgium.

Thankfully we spotted La Grande Cure on one of the Holiday search engines.

The location was great, nestled up a side road on a hill side, surrounded by grassland and forests. Very quite, very secluded and very safe, ideal for 6 motorbikes to be secure.

Helen welcomed us, and was helpful and efficient from the get go, a lovely and warm  lady who goes that little further to make sure her visitors are happy.

The rooms were great, clean tidy and finished very nicely, you can’t ask for more.

The food wasn’t just great, it was amazing, 5 course and really something special.

Would I return...., you bet ya, I’d return tomorrow if I could.

Great Hotel, Fantastic Staff & Amazing Food

Very welcoming with a phone call during the day of our arrival to ask if we wanted dinner. Glad we said yes as it was an excellent meal. Staff excellent and chef was amazing in what he gave us

Great hidden gem

Nice break from the hustle and bustle

We absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel itself was stunning with modern interior and a very romantic dining area. The food and drink at dinner were fabulous - the kind you would expect in a Michelin star restaurant. Breakfast was perfect also with a great selection. The room was lovely with modern decor and the toilet was separate from the sink/shower room which is great for speedily getting ready.  The only negative with our room would be that it was a little bit too dark at times but other rooms had balconies which would be lighter so I would book one of these in the future as I'll definitely be back!The staff were so friendly and helpful, providing addresses for our GPS for places we required and remembering the next day to ask at breakfast if we got there ok. A nice personal touch!We stayed here for the Grand Prix in Spa and I am so glad we chose thus hotel as it was perfect. We didn't want to leave!  Never got the chance to try the spa in the hotel thus time but next time we definitely will. Cannot wait to return!

Very nice hotel in beautiful surroundings!!!

Nice small family hotel with a comfortable room. It is on a hill so there is a nice view of the village, especially from the restaurant's terrace. The staff is nice. The restaurant offers excellent food. Not a gourmet fanatic and not usually impressed by food but that was something beyond expectations. On the minus side - no coffee machine or tea kettle in the room. Also, for those with allergies the carpet in the room might be an unpleasant surprise. No idea why hotels still have those - difficult to clean, often the smell of a freshener can be overwhelming.

Nice hotel and restaurant in the Ardennes

Just returned from a short (3 days) trip to the Belgian Ardennes.  More specifically we stayed in Hotel La Grande Cure in Marcourt which is in the province of Luxemburg (Belgium).
The hotel is cosy, nice, clean and has a wellness area on top of a hill overlooking the hotel and the surroundings.  Sauna inside, complete with shower and everything and a jacuzzi outside!  Great spending some time in the jacuzzi in steaming hot water with an outside temperature nearing zero degrees.  Fun!

The personnel is very friendly and masters several languages next to their native tongue.  They are fluent in Dutch, English, French...and responding to any wish you may have.  Well stocked bar with fireplace, comfortable chairs etc..very nice to sit back and relax after a long day with long walks in the fantastic Ardennes!

The quality of the food is more than what you would expect from a small hotel.  The Chef proposes a set menu every evening with a "star"level.  And of course you can let him know if you have a certain allergy or when you really do not like one of the courses.  We were happily surprised!

Short, very nice place to spend a couple of days in the Ardennes.  Marcourt is situated at short (by car) distances from La Roche, Durbuy, Marche-en-Famennes and even Bastogne (battle of the Bulge) is at +/- 38 kms.

Went with my family for 9ne weekend to the heart of the Ardennes to go cycling on the hills. This luxury hotel is an ideal base to start your itenararies. Located in the valley of the Ourthe, you have access to all challeg8ng hils around.

Ideal base for cycl8ng in the Ardennes

We stayed one night in May 2018 and we chose this hotel due to it's proximity to La Roche-en-Ardenne. It is literally 5 mins by car.
When you arrive to the hotel you immediately feel that this place is something special. The entrance way framed by the trees and the nice garden. Everything looked spotless. There was plenty of parking outside the hotel 
The room and especially the bathroom had a touch of luxury. The only negative was that we did not get a room with balcony but that was because we booked last minute. 
We had booked the dinner due to the good reviews and we were not disappointed. However it is a bit expensive and portions could be bigger. We would definitely stay again if in the area.
