B&B Galbert

B&B Galbert is a very small affair where the top two floors, of four, serve as guest quarters. Each floor is dedicated to a single reservation. Floor 2 has two bedrooms with a private bathroom across the hallway and can accommodate a family of three to four while floor 3 with an integrated bathroom is suitable for singles or couples. While the arrangement makes you feel at home, floor 2 may leave you a bit apprehensive. However, cushy robes are provided to avoid any embarrassment. Everything here is spaciously top notch. Prices may vary from web site to web site so you should do a comparative check. Most web sites allow you to opt out of breakfast which would be shame if you choose to do so. It is sumptuous and will leave you satisfied until dinner time. Plus, you’ll have some enchanting conversation with the owner and super-host, Wim. Of course, not everything is a bed of roses. Like most B&B’s in Bruges, there is no elevator (and there are a lot of stairs), no air conditioning, and no screens on the windows. The last two are only concerns during hot summers. Fortunately, rooms come with discreet mosquito traps that are pretty effective. Don’t even think of unplugging one to gain an additional outlet (there are plenty enough) otherwise you’ll quickly become a meal. For an intimate exceptionally comfortable stay with an easy walk or transit to just about everything, B&B Galbert can’t be beat.
