We were driving around Belgium and wanted to visit Antwerp but did not want to drive into the city to stay. We found this lovely B&B on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. The property was lovely on a quiet tree lined side street. It was a quick walk to the train station for a 10 minute ride to Antwerp. The room we stayed in was located behind the house in an old carriage house or stable. It was smartly decorated, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast area overlooked the pool (covered in April) and the backyard garden. The breakfast provided was delicious and the household's dogs came to visit us while we were eating. Would stay here on a future visit to Antwerp and Lier.

Arrived here with a friend to visit another friend and were greeted with a chilled glass of white wine on our arrival. My bedroom had a double bed and bathroom with bath and overlooked the swimming pool and my friend had a similar sized bedroom but with a shower and overlooked the garden. There is a communal kitchen area where you can make yourself a tea or coffee at any time and breakfast is taken there. It was laid out the night before but in the early evening so we were never disturbed as one guest mentioned, and the food as added in the morning so that the rolls and breads were fresh. Spotlessly clean and separate from the main house giving you privacy and nice little benches to sit on if the weather is fine. Can't complain about anything as it is a bed and breakfast and not a five star hotel.

Charming and attentive hosts, snug bedrooms in secluded fully-equipped self-catering outhouse annexe, comprehensive breakfast ingredients supplied. Good location, cul-de-sac parking, close to railway station and restaurants.

Home from home

Wonderful place to stay.  The three rooms are in a separate building in the back, next to the swimming pool.  The three share a communal kitchen, where breakfast is served and guests can make coffee, tea, and eggs all day.  Refrigerator for wine and beer.  (One of the rooms has a fridge, as well.)  The pool is lovely, the garden beautiful.  The hosts are extremely gracious and accommodating.  So convenient to both Antwerp and Lier.  Great beds, nice bathtubs.  Rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean.  (Do note the position of beams running through them.  Both rooms I stayed in had head-banging dangers.)

Great place to stay for a visit to either Lier or Antwerp.

We visited here late june to attend a family celebration not far away.  Chose this b&b as other accommodation seemed set up for business travellers not a homely environment. We booked 5 nights at these premises and we are so very glad we did. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner Rudi who with his lovely wife siboigne  have a truly lovely house and have cleaverly built a very clean and modern detached 3 bedroom accommodation at the rear of the  property. Set in a leafy well to do street in Boechout which is located 15 minutes by train or about 25 minutes by car to central Antwerp it is percectly located to  venture from here to brugge,brussels,lier and Antwerp . Upon arrival our host greated us warmly and set up two glasses of red wine besdide the swimming pool for us to settle in and relax. There were 3 rooms available and we choose the light and airy one overlooking the swimming pool. Our room had a tv,good size bed, bathroom with a wonderfully deep bath and ample cupboards and hanging space also nice couch which was a relaxing addition to the room. A shared kitchen where you could grab some milk for a hot drink when wanted and handy to store your own items.  Breakfast was set up according to the time that suited you and consisted of muesli,fruit juice, fresh bread,rolls,croissants, selected sliced meat,cheese and jam. Freshly brewed coffee and help yourself to boil an egg,yoghurt and fresh fruit was also supplied meant for a great start to the day. We walked only a 10 mins to the nearby railway station and was a less stressful way of getting into Antwerp, check train timetables well in advance though as they only stop once an hour, otherwise its non stop fast trains. As our hosts were so welcoming and stated that if there were any problems that they would like to know so they could rectify it if possible,  we let Rudi know that we thought the mattresses we extremely hard and he was anxious to make things right so planned to look into replacing them .
