A truly wonderful stay at the Alpine room facing the amazing garden and the basilica. The interior is beautiful and the room spacious enough for two people. Sander was such a warm and accommodating host, our weekend in Antwerp was upped many times thanks to him! 

Super charming guesthouse

Hosts were extremely accommodating and welcoming. Home has exquisite taste and beautifully decorated. Convenient to bike rental station across the street. Easy access to old town area by walking or transportation. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Beautiful garden area and amazing views. Nothing negative to say about this place.

I stayed at this B&B during a 10 day trip to Belgium and it is by far the best B&B I stayed at. The hosts were very quick to respond to text and emails and exceptionally welcoming. I was greeted by Sander, who thoroughly explained the amenities of the room, the breakfast offering, and for a small charge, offered a bike pass that I readily accepted. The bike station is literally across the street from them.
The artistic touches that the hosts have given their home, clearly show the love they have for it. The room was immaculately clean, large and very well laid out. In addition to the bedroom there was a living area, a small kitchenette and the bathroom (with plenty of thick, plush towels). Windows on both sides of the room overlooked either the street area which was lovely or the garden area. The temperature was nicely controlled and the bed was very comfortable. The little kitchen was well appointed with a espresso/coffee maker, and stocked with very nice coffees. The television had both English and international channels. 
The outdoor garden area was beautiful. There was a Koi pond with Water features a seating area and beautiful accent lights and lanterns that were lighted at night.
The B&B is located about seven minutes by bicycle or 25 minutes walking from the old town area of Antwerp. It’s in a very nice area of town and it was exceptionally quiet. I cannot say enough about this beautiful B&B and how nice it was to come back to this sanctuary after a long day of sightseeing. The nightly rate is very generous for the quality of the accommodations. My only regret is I didn’t book more nights at this establishment!

Beautiful B&B, with incredible hosts

Spending the weekend at Sander's B&B was our best decision! :)
Beforehand, we had already received recommendations for restaurants and advice on parking and Antwerp's environmental zone by email. The tips were very helpful.
We were welcomed directly in an open and friendly way and got more tips about some vintage shops and sights. We really enjoyed the nice conversations with Sander and Ben over breakfast.
Our room and the entire accommodation are lovingly and comfortably furnished and everything was very clean.
It was made very easy for us to feel at home :)
We will gladly come back and are already looking forward to the next time in Antwerp.

A B&B run by lovely people and a place to feel at home

What a great stay we had! Sander was very welcoming and undoubtedly one of the best hosts we have ever had. We stayed in the Omani suite for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute in it.  We very much appreciated the individual and at the same time tastefully decorated room. The house has a lot of character and offers all you can ask for. Sander and Ben put a lot of effort into it and made  it a very special home with a lot of fantastic details waiting to be discovered and always keeping the charm of the old house in mind. Ever seen an old bicycle’s front wheel being converted into a floor lamp or a saddle and bar being turned into a bull’s head trophy? Well, you will find these and other curiosities in their home. Having breakfast in the spacious and light flooded dining area with a beautiful view into the garden and accompanied by very inspiring  morning chats with Sander was a perfect start into the day. Sander gave us a number of tips of places to discover which you wouldn’t necessarily find in guide books. Antwerp as such of course is a beautiful city with many highlights to visit. We had 3 days, and only partially managed to see all the places of interest. We will definitely go back to Antwerp and for us it is clear, where we will stay. An outstanding stay  in a charming house with lots  of individual character

I had not stayed at Guesthouse Leman since 2015 and it was a delight to return and see the impressive changes that have been made.  The hospitality was as warm and friendly as ever, and the breakfast just as delicious.  However, Sander has made some exquisite modifications to the house. Beautiful collections of pictures reflecting his Dutch heritage; some beautiful colours introduced into the Attic suite to make it super warm and comfortable.  I cant wait to return in the spring and summer to see the beautiful garden in full bloom - though it looks so pretty even in the dark.  This is one of my favourite places to stay


Authentic and characterful home with the warmest hospitality

Beautifully appointed bedrooms in a grand old property that has been lovingly restored by the welcoming owners.  My room had everything it needed and the attention detail with individual decor and furnishings was something that you would not find in a large brnaded hotel.  The public areas had a chilled out vibe and I would love to stay in summer when you can sit in the garden with a cold drink in hand.  Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning!

We had an amazing stay at Guesthouse Leman! Sander was so welcoming and full of good tips. We stayed in the Alpine room, the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was also very nice. We are definitely coming back and we would recommend anyone to stay a few a days here!

its because they love to take to care of their guests, all is well organized, very clean and quite nice decorated. you can see they love to share their home to have their guests a "home" feeling
breakfast is good quality and the mattresses are very good and not too small.

you may use their velo passes too which are very convenient for visiting the city
and quite easy accessible by public transport too.

a very quite place in a historical city

This B&B is in a majestic Antwerp townhouse,  which on the inside is beautifully and stylishly designed and decorated including with lots of wonderful artefacts from the owners' travels. The breakfast space has a stunning view of a grand basilica. Getting into the heart of Antwerp is easy, can be walked or there is public transport. Would highly recommend!
