Decent location and parking, excellent Breakfast and Hospitality provided. A stone's throw from the picturesque village of Mayrhofen, easily accessible by car, or a decent hike. Well worth the stay. Decent self-serve breakfast, plenty of options including the odd cake...

Decently accomodated!

We stayed in this hotel whilst attending the Snowbombing festival in 2015. The room had 3 single beds and an amazing view of the alps surrounding Mayrhofen. 

We had a balcony with two chairs and a table as well as a table and chair inside the room. 

The room did not have a bathroom - you had to use the bathroom on the floor.

The room was pretty noisy when the other revellers came home in the early hours after attending Snowbombing and we woke up a few times due to this. 

We lost our key to the room and the landlady was helpful enough.

Breakfast was basic with the landlady serving us every morning. You had to tell her you were planning to eat breakfast to ensure she prepared it for you.

All in all pretty basic, beds not too comfortable yet clean and quaint.

Clean & Basic accommodation driving distance from Mayrhofen

I really enjoyed my stay here. I stayed during Snowbombing festival with my husband and to be honest I didn't really know what to expect. The rooms were very clean and we had a nice balcony with some chairs to sit outside. It was very quiet as its a little walk from the town. The breakfast was all very fresh and the owner really couldn't do enough for us. I would defiantly stay here again as we were made to feel very welcome and the place was beautiful. Thank you Mrs Schneeberger! Tip: ask for the family schnapps, they have a distillery on site- it blows your head off :-)

Winter skiing February 2015

Pros: ski boot dryer, warm hotel and rooms, hot water 24/7, some Tirolean charm.
Cons: breakfast starts at 8.00, lifts open 8.15. 1.5 km from nearest lift, 2km from central Mayrhofen, buses irregular. Be prepared to be treated as 2nd class citizen if not a German speaker, wi-fi not free as advertised.

Lowdown: I didn't have much money and was desperate for a ski holiday so staying in a broom cupboard as long it was warm and dry was enough, and that pretty much describes the room I stayed in! There was a small  en-suite WC and sink, but then there was a shower in the room with a tiny TV from 1987.

One major annoyance was breakfast beginning at 8. I came to ski and wanted to be waiting for the first lift or bus by 7.50, not eating breakfast, so I ended up skipping it more often than not, then I had to plead for them to unlock the ski room.

Some minor irritation was the manageress behaved like basil fawlty around royalty if the guests were German (may come back next time), whereas being British was a guarantee of being less popular than a bacon sarnie in a synagogue.

All taken into account, if you love skiing and will tolerate nearly anything to save money then this hotel is acceptable. You'll be clean and warm with dry boots in the morning. I would reccommend this to a family or couples with a car.

Cheap, with annoyances. Overall worth it, if on a budget.

We arrived at the guesthouse as a group of four, after walking into the reception we were immediately made to feel as if we weren't welcome, due to a certain remark from the manager of the establishment . We were then asked by the manager to pay a €200 euro deposit incase of damages which although not happy to do so we made the payment . We were then shown to the apartment which was in the basement of the building, the apartment was small but enough and was basic but no more than expected. Throughout out the week we didn't receive any new sheets on the beds,the beds were never made ,and if we wanted fresh towels we'd have to pay €2 every time we wanted a fresh one. A maid of some sort did come to take rubbish away but could barely do that. The worst point was getting a good nights sleep which was difficult as the one pillow per single bed had virtually non existent filling, so surprise surprise offered no support, which often ended up waking up in the morning with a bad neck and shoulders. Furthermore the duvet struggled to give you any warmth at the best of times as with the amount of filling it contained was not much more than an empty sheet but on the up side there were extra blankets provided. The location was disappointing as it was a 30 minute walk from the main strip which with ski & snowboard gear seems somewhat never ending and taxis cost between €6 - €10 .Would definatly pay extra to be on the main strip or there about . All in all I would not recommend this guesthouse as we found it to be unsatisfactory in pretty much all areas but thankfully did not taint our trip , I would never stay there again!
