As past "managers" of this property in 2010 we feel qualified to respond to some of the reviews.  When I say "managers", we not managers by any stretch of the imagination. All management was done by remote by the owners from a neighbouring town. When we arrived to take up our position (having moved from interstate) we were presented with a scrawled, handwritten "contract" not worth the paper it was written on.  We were allowed one day off per week and we were not permitted to remain on the park on our day off: we had to leave the property between 10am and 6pm.  We were unceremoniously fired without notice one Sunday morning and were given one week to remove our furniture and belongings from the managers' residence.  No explanation given. We lodged a complaint with Fair Trading who advised us we were not the first complainants. Unfortunately we were not in a position to proceed, having used our reserve in moving expenses from interstate.  It was such a traumatic three months that we decided to retire at that point. We were not inexperienced, having managed caravan parks in South Australia (two parks at one time), the Gold Coast and Victoria.  During our time at Wagga Wagga we were complimented often by visitors for the cleanliness of the park and facilities, and for our helpfulness and welcoming attitude. While we were in the position the park did not have permanent residents, and the 30 cabins were constantly booked out, mainly by relatives of graduating army personnel form nearby Kapooka Army Base. 
We can honestly say that our experience at Wagga Wagga Beach Caravan Park was the worst experience of our working lives.

I stayed at this caravan park, and was given a drive thru site, which was fantastic, this park had plenty of van sites and cabins, it's very close to the beach and it was great to be woken up by cockatoos and galahs, the amenities were very clean and the owners were great

We had family  photos done in the area, after photos we stayed around the grandchildren had a swim then we had a relaxing  tea Pizza delivered to the beach with all the family, the weather was beautifull .

This is rating as one of the worst places I have ever stayed. Everything is covered in a thick layer of dust. The kitchen items all need washing before use. But don’t use the tea towel as that made things worse. The supplied bedding in the bunk room ... wow ... look I don’t know for sure but it smelt funky and there were red stains on some doona covers. This stuff hasn’t been washed in a very long time. Do yourself a big favour and go elsewhere.

Not clean

We are baffled at the positive reviews this park receives, but we haven’t seen inside the onsite cabins so perhaps they are exceptional! The park is poorly laid out, sign-posted and maintained. Broken chairs litter one site, the ground is uneven and muddy. In the areas where grass is growing it is long and needs mowing. The park is in a lovely position on the river but is a very poor contrast to the grounds and walks below. Sadly it looks neglected. Please walk into the park before deciding to stay (there is nothing to stop you as the boom gate is broken!). We were glad we only booked for one night at $40 for the site, and won’t return.

The lady on reception was lovely and friendly but the park is old and falling apart and not particularly clean.
The site I had was just dirt and nothing else.
The 'beach' is really just a collection of muddy rocks although I'm sure kids would have a ball!

I wouldnt stay here again.

I definitely would not recommend this place. It is very old and run down. Our cabin was on a visible slant and dirty. Also permanent park residents made the place feel unsafe. We ended up leaving and paying for another place, as it was disgusting. It is expensive and not worth your money

Old and run down.

While the staff here are really nice, and it is close to the river ( so close it floods when the river rises) and close to the town, I would not recommend it or stay here again. The amenities are old and dirty, the hookup for our caravan was difficult, and there are permanent residents there who made us feel very unsafe. Unfortunately in Wagga, there are few caravan parks, and this one is the best of them. My recommendation is to either stay at the free camp in North Wagga, or spring for a motel... there's plenty of good motels around. 

Don't bother

Location is excellent.  The staff are friendly.  The park is run down and in need of a lot of maintenance.  The ablutions were dirty and in need of repairs. Gents toilet is the worst we have come across. Definitely not worth the high tarrif.

Wish I had read the reviews first

Allocated in a beautiful peaceful spot the ablution block is absolutely disgusting. We've been here for a few days and doesn't appear to be any cleaning. The ablution blocks are very dated, see photos attached.
