If you want to stay virtually on the beach with the comforts of home, then this is your place. Great communication and easy check in and out. Nice walk down the beach to  the shops and restaurants of Byron. The accomodation has everything you need to lounge around and soak up the sounds of the ocean, sea breeze and get some vitamin D. If you’re into water sports then they have items available for you to use as well and bikes to ride around on, all for free. We stayed in the Bronte cottage and we’ll definitely be back to stay again in the future!

Wow... you can’t beat this location!

We stayed in the beachfront Bondi building and it was amazing.  Spectacular views from pretty much everywhere in the unit. The furnishings are comfortable and tasteful and felt like that they added to the overall feeling of a beach getaway. The units are very close together and I could see if you had neighbours that werent respectful of the close quarters it could be a bit disappointing.  But the staff are very responsive and I don’t think that would be an issue. We can’t fault any part of our stay.  It really is a special property and was a highlight of an extended vacation through Australia and parts of Asia.

Spectacular stay

For a beach stay this place is hard to beat, which is probably why we keep coming back several times a year. 

The villas have everything you need - full kitchen, TV, wifi, A/C, comfortable beds etc and are always clean and in a good state considering the location. Each villa has it's own beach-front lounge chair from which you can watch the ocean, read a book or snooze, a cold drink never far away.

If you do feel like going into Byron Bay town, its a 15 minute walk along the beach. But why would you when you've got everything you need for a relaxing holiday right here? Apart from the incredible views and lovely surrounds, you have a great cafe and a fun bar/restaurant 2 minutes walk away, no need to get caught up in the hustle and bustle apart from maybe for some supplies but that's it.

Not many places around here offer this kind of true beach front experience - long beach walks, falling asleep to the sound of the ocean, breathing in the sea air, and friendly locals.

We keep coming back!

Love this place, our second stay and have now been in three of the six available properties. Lailas is larger but set back behind front villa so less ocean view, but perfect for a family with kids (three bedrooms/two bathrooms/safety gate on balcony to assist small kids not falling down stairs). My folks stayed in Tamarama, perfect for a couple (the upstairs room is not enclosed so be mindful if two couples), ocean views, amazing day bed on balcony, garden space. Previously stayed in Beach Belles which again is good for friends or small family (again not right on garden).

Overall the property is well located in Belongil, its a short stroll to cafes across the road (recommend the pizzas at Treehouse restaurant). You can then walk to Byron itself along the beach directly from the garden (15 mins) or along the road (22mins).

Staff as always amazing an helpful, nice welcome from Nikki (thank you) and were always checking we were OK but nit over bearing attention, just right.

There are plenty of surf boards/SUPs and bikes for guest to use free of charge.

I'd thoroughly recommend a stay at Bluewater on the beach.

Perfect spot away from the hustle bustle

This is the second time staying at these villas, best spot ever, it is the best area of bryon with a walk to town from the beach, so relaxing and the lovely people who are running it. So easy that there is surf boards and bikes etc to use for free and the beach is amazing.

Paradise in Bryon

There is not much to add to the other reviews. It is the perfect setting, right on the beach but make sure you book one of the beach houses at the front of the property. We were in Bronte. 

Lovely large rooms, your own day beds and benches in the garden, the sound of the waves crashing on the beach - what more could you want? Byron Bay was a 15 minute walk up the beach. 

We met people also staying who book year after year after year. Wish we could but living in WA it is rather a long way to come.

Just perfect.

Perfect beach house

I take some responsibility for the fact that the lodge we occupied turned out to not have beach/ocean views, but, I think the owners used a description which was less than clear.

In fairness to the owners, in their confirmation of which lodge you will occupy, they explained that our accommodation is "behind the front villas".  

Now I know how the site is laid out, with the hindsight of having visited, that makes sense.  However, when booking, I'm basing my decision on the website content and videos and the quite central promotion of the ocean views the property has which I feel were central to the marketing.  I certainly didn't interpret the descriptive as the villa I was in would have no ocean views.  I guess I should have asked what the description meant exactly but when you are booking a trip with 4 or 5 separate accommodation components (each of which generate 4 or 5 emails) along with car, flight and restaurants, these subtleties in descriptions can pass you by. 

I think it would be simpler and fairer to just state clearly that this lodge doesn't have any ocean/beach views.  There is a private garden area that does have sea views (which is nice) but this isn't the same thing as having ocean views from the property.  

Besides this confusion, the offering overall is fine.  The property offers a beach shack/shabby chic style of accommodation- not luxurious but rustic and functional.  Pretty well equipped lodge and everything worked.  A more regular deep clean wouldn't go amiss but it wasn't dirty, just a big scruffy.

Nice touch was the availability for free of bikes and beach gear for guest use.  

Nice bars/restaurants literally 2 mins walk away with Byron village centre a 15 min stroll down the beach.

Not quite what was expected.....

Spent a long weekend at Bluewater and loved every part of it. The place is huge and spacious for spending time on the beach relaxing and is secluded so that you are all by yourselves. All the amenities you need to stay for as long as you like. Perfect for putting the electronics away and soaking up the location and the views. This is the best way to experience Byron Bay.
