In April we paid for the entire stay for July, 12 hours before we entered the hotel, he wrote us on Whatsapp telling us that the cloaca had been closed and we had to cancel the reservation. He simply returned me the money but did not get us another accommodation and we paid the difference for another hotel, since we were in high season. We had to look for desperate hotels in a matter of hours, called more than 50 places, ended up paying double and with barbaric stress, we almost cancelled the holidays, finally, a total disrespect to management.

Independent cabanas, in an altitude area, away from Tilcara about 2 km. The road is disastrous. The area is full of plants and gardens in elevation. The cabana is rustic, surrounded by a wave of altiplano. The breakfast is varied and abundant (autoservice). Fruit salad and natural orange juice. Clean 10 points. Salamandra that we use, plus. The only thing that is critical is the lack of some maintenance and refreshment in the park and the cabanas. I interpret that post-pandemic everything was and is more difficult.

Stayed in July 2019. A wonderful spot, a short drive from the centre of Tilcara with its plentiful shops and restaurants. A little hard to find first time, up an unmade-up track. The views from the cabins are worth the price alone. Throw in the friendly welcome, llamas, and swimming pool, and it’s hard to beat. If you don’t eat here, you will probably need a car to go back and forth into the centre.

Searching the Internet we found this little joyita in the middle of nowhere outside of Tilcara. Very well planted, built and serviced and above all very authentic. Our charm stayed there and recommended it. Both the manager and the owner help a lot to give a good stay with useful information about the area. The cabanas are comfortable, spacious and decorated in a local style. The views themselves sound very nice, the gardens are well cared for, the breakfast is very right and the dining area is very heated and there are several receptions. Something far removed from Tilcara but very authentic and in full nature.

On the contrary: the road to the place is narrow, of land, steep in some sections and with one hand. almost impossible to reach the center of the tilcara on foot, it is about 2km. the cabanas there are some that by being on a hill, if it would be difficult for people with disabilities or wheelchairs, are very high and by very narrow roads. the amount of menus to eat, if you decide to stay for more than a week, repeat the menu. in favor: wonderful place, incredible views, rich food, unpolluted cleanliness, personal warmth, good attention, hallucinated cabanas, with TV and good Wi-Fi signal. animals and place of recreation. return without any doubts, the tranquility that generates a place is highly recommended, but everything is done as the title says, but not for anyone.

We had a short stay here - the property is beautiful - terraced gardens with a lot of spring flowers - a huge cactus and a great view of the mountains. The breakfast was adequate - fruit juices, croissants and jams and yogurt. Jose was helpful and energetic.
One tip - do not arrive after dark - inspite of being told that by a friend who recommended the place, we were lucky to find the place. The tourist office in Tilcara gave us decent directions but we were really lucky to find this place at 9 pm in complete darkness - we were glad we made the right turns at the right time. However, we soon forgot what would have been a harrowing experience when we arrived at the place.

Beautiful location ...an oasis in the desert!

Pros: Charming cabins, small pool if the weather is right, very friendly staff, decent breakfast.Cons: Be aware: the road to the lodge is dirt with rocks and ruts and just short of needing 4WD. It would be impassible in heavy rain. The lodges are set on a steep hill. Anyone with a walking impediment should consult the staff first.
