We booked for double bedroom, It was clean and quite spacious. Bathroom is clean and spotless. 
It is located right in the middle of the city. Just walking distance to the Plaza, churches and different restaurants, very convenient.
The staff are just alright. 
Our room is overlooking the old town and the church.
Great accommodation and value for money.

Great Location, overlooking the Old Town

We stayed for a night. The view is as described of the cathedral. The location is excellent, right in the main square of Salta and very convenient for exploring the city. From the breakfast room on the top floor you have great panoramic views of the city as well. The location of this hotel beat all the negatives and for the price I would say it was worth it.

Downside:
The hotel is a bit old and could do with a serious paint job. The rooms are a bit worn and smaller than expected. Though it is clean and the bathroom as well. The Breakfast room has a very creaky floor and the breakfast is nothing great or as expected with a majority of it being bread. The staff are a bit indifferent at the reception at times.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the city just crossing the main square which allows multiple alternatives for restaurants, churches and historical attractions. The room was ample, clean, extra blankets available, tv set, safebox, plenty hot water, air conditioning. Buffet breakfast included in the price. Friendly and helpful staff. Wifi with some difficulties.

Nice place to stay, good location, good price!

Way better than we'd been led to believe.  Friendly staff, clean rooms, everything works, free wifi, powerful shower, endless hot water, efficient radiators in winter, large fridge in the room, large safe big enough for a laptop,  huge new bed, spotless bathroom, aircon, 2 elevators, good food served incredibly efficiently.  Location is in the picturesque town square.

Great value for money

Arrived in Salta looking for accommodation and found this hotel through the Tourist Information Centre. It is in the heart of the city overlooking the main square which I thought would put the price up. The first rooms we were shown were on the 8th floor at the rear of the hotel - they were very dingy and tired looking, not the best place to spend 4 nights. On making further enquiries we were shown rooms on the 9th floor at the front of the hotel. These rooms were very different - bigger, better decorated/furnished etc although not top class but a fair reflection for the price (approx £45 per night B&B for single occupancy of a double room). The biggest drawback was that the main square is very noisy till about 1 am at weekends!!!
Breakfast was a self-service buffet (no hot food) with fresh fruit salad, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast and sweet pastries - all very nice.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful and there is free WI-FI too.
This is a good low budget hotel if the thought of a hostel (and sharing) doesn't appeal.
