We had a lovely stay at this familyowned hotel. The room was sparkling clean, bathroom fresh and clean as well, ac worked perfectly and the amenities were good. Breakfast is served at the pool area and was a plate with tasty eggs, sausages, veggies, feta cheese (yummy), bread, marmalade, coffee and juice. There is a grocery store located right next door, very convenient. The pool area was perfect! We spent a whole day there, just enjoying the weather and the quietness. Pool is quite small but suits well for short dips. There is also a pool bar with loads of options to choose from. Beach is just a very short walk away (a couple of minutes) as well if you wish to go there instead. Location was very good and it was easy to just get a ride from the hotel to the centre of Durres. Wifi wasn't the best but it's okay, we were on a holiday :-) Overall we had such a lovely stay we wish we had stayed longer. Big thank you to this family and we wish you all the best!

Great hotel

I recently stayed here with my family and I cannot fault this hotel - it is a small hotel and family run. They are all incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a small pool which is very clean and has a very nice area to relax and sunbathe. Breakfast served local cuisine and was delicious. The hotel is in a great location, just a few minute walk from the beach and surrounded by restaurants, bars and cafes and easy to get into main Durrës or Tirana by bus or taxi. The owners were also very helpful in helping us arrange excursions to see more of the country. I would definitely recommend staying here. 

Definitely recommend

I have very recently visited this hotel with my family (6 people). We highly recommend the hotel. It’s family run and everyone has been so friendly and nice. They constantly tried to help us. The pool is small but very clean and nice. It is very close to the beach and in a good location for bars, cafes and restaurants. The family took us by car into Durrës centre as well. We recommend. 

Really recommend 

The hotel was very difficult to find. Coming by foot it's easy to walk past it. The entrance is so small, it's difficult to notice. The location is good though, very close to the beach. Also, buses to the centre and to the bus station pass by the hotel. The staff was nice and the room okay. There was a small pool, but it was so dirty we didn't want to swim in it. The breakfast was served by the pool. Since the pool area is very small, there are only a few tables.

Basic rooms, very dirty pool

The worst possible choice for a hotel in Durres Albania!!!! Don't go there!
They put us in their best appartment that has only one window (for tho rooms) with view to a wall that is 2m away from it! There is no sun in Sunrise Hotel! We wanted the room to be changed and they refused! We wanted to cancel our stay, but they said that will not refund us the 900 eur.
The pool is 2m wide by 4m long. The wower stops 5-6 times per day. The pictures are fake. Probably the reviews are too! Half of their rooms are looking into walls, good luck getting one with view of the main street!

Worst possible hotel in Durres Albania

We had a terrible time here. Only for checking in, there was someone in the lobby. Apart from that, no one was. Also, the wifi was terrible and it didnt have it's own beach as was promised on booking.com. We tried talking to the staff about this, but the owner got mad pretty quickly. He said we did have wifi. He raised his voice when we told him we didnt. We (obviously) didn't feel like staying here anymore. So we asked to get some of our money back so we could find a new place to sleep. We couldnt get even a small part back. Not even the money we paid for breakfast the next morning! Terrible service. The next hotel we booked even said that the hotel is known to be not trustworthy and shabby.
