The Lam Homestay

Great value for money, simple but clean and comfortable rooms, great WiFi, and Mr.Lam is a very friendly host! Everything looked new in my room, I think this was in a new extension!? In any case, I totally recommend this place, and location is ok too, away from the beaches but near the main town, so much more local atmosphere (and everything is cheaper around here too)

We stayd here for 2 nights and we had a really good time with mister Lam and his family. He speaks English and has much good info about the island, they rent out motorbikes and he fixes tours for you for a good price. Here you can sit down and talk, enjoy the evening or when ever it is. Good breakfast and awsome icecoffee that the wife makes. Rooms are clean. He are building more rooms now and should be ready for rent in about a month from now, and a nice roof top tarrace with a great view, he gave us a peak on it and it looked great! We recommend this place if you want a really home fealing and nice people arround you that take good care of you and you still can be your self.

Starting off in not a very nice hotel in phu quoc. We were lucky enough to find Lam homestay. Such a lovely welcome. The family whom own it are incredible so friendly made our stay amazing!! Would highly recommend this hotel. Phu quoc is a beautiful island and the people there make it even more amazing. Thank you so much for having us. 😊

Mr Lam and his family are so nice and we feel very safe and comfortable in his guesthouse; very clean, wifi, new towels every day, new sheets in bed every second day, quite place, slept wonderful all 8 days. Free fresh water and laundry service of low cost. Peaceful place. We fully recommend this homestay. Excellent!

We stayed a couple nights in this guesthouse and really enjoyed our stay ! The entire family helped us with renting a motorbike, getting tickets to rach gia and even further. They even packed us a breakfast for our early departure. Moreover, the prices are really good; we sure will stay at the lam homestay I we ever come back to phu quoc !

We stayed at Lams homestay for 6 nights. Lam was an amazing host, always happy and making sure ererything was alright with the guests!

We had excellent advice from Lam when we were planning our trips around the island and he even asked us to join him at some fun and games.

We had dinner with Lams family two times, and we talked about politics, education, nature etc.. and the wife is an excellect cook, best veggie meal I had in Vietnam!

The hotel is situated perfectly if you want to explore the island with a scooter. There are some really nice local foodvendors nearby, definetly worth trying. Due to very little english skills of the locals, many times we had no idea what they were serving but we ended up having some amazing authentic vietnamise culinary experienses.

Really nice place with the greatest host!

We read from the internet that this Place is amazing! When we arrived, there wasn´t staff who could speak english. Well, we got the room. Wifi didn´t work on the whole time properly. Warm water came one night out of four. Bottlewater suppose to be free. When we left they try to charge for that. Location is REALLY BAD! 4-5kilometers to the "mainplace" and to the beach. Room was full of ants. The room smelled really strong tobacco. Every morning we had noses blocked and sore throats. We suspect mold because it stoipped when we left. We used laund ryservice they took more than it should be. We really don´t get how this Place has so good reviews.
