We plant to visit Cat Ba for few day , and we decide to stay in Bay View Hotel during our holiday .the people in here so friendly and very kind to help us about the information on the island,and help us to book the trip on Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha bay.trip on boat it' s amazing.the food from the hostel also cheep and good.

On holidays 

The hotel is located at the centre of cat ba. The sea view room I had was the most pocket friendly in the town and gave an amazing sea view when I woke up in the morning. Food was good and the staff is friendly and helpful. Trung at the desk helped me with the tours at cheapest rate in the town and he could speak more than decent English which is an advantage. Only problem I faced was the non functional air conditioning which during day could be troublesome but then with these rock bottom room prices and sea view, I don't mind this.

Stayed here for four nights earlier this week.
 Host helpful. English a little limited, but got by ok.
Hotel basic but perfect for the price. Room comfortable and clean. No aircon (have to pay extra) but fans efficient. 
Location is very good- near bars, restaurants and harbour. Noise isn't at all loud at night.
Breakfast here very nice too.

Basic hotel with kind staff.

Stayed in the dorm room at bay view for a couple of nights. The hotel is run by a really lovely family, always ask how are you and what are your plans are. Really helpful behind the desk with booking buses etc. Food was good and they would do take aways for you if needed. The room was basic but you got fresh linens and a towel everyday and free locker usage. The showers were hot but the toilet was pretty stinky, but to be honest so was Cat Ba in general. Really can’t complain for the price of the dorm. Perfect location and base for your time in Cat Ba, would definitely stay again.

Staffs were friendly & ready to help always. Location is close to the beach.Booked room in front of sea view side with very cheap rate & took day tour Halong Bay package from their service which was very reliable.
