We loved how the resort was so close to the beach where there was great snorkeling. We also enjoyed the book exchange and the DVDs that were available to check out. Although we did not play pickleball or miniature golf, it was great to have those available.

Great resort!

We're a retired 50th wedding anniversary couple from Ohio and  purchased a Getaway week through Interval International. We were very pleased with our week on the south shore at Lawai Beach Resort, Koloa. If we return to Kauai, we would stay here again. Their occupancy taxes/fees were minimal compared to where we stayed on the north shore the week prior. 

Delightful experience!

A good size unit for my family of 4. I booked 2 Bedrooms unit. The location is nice and close to Poipu Beach. I loved the morning walk and enjoyed watching sunrise & sunset daily from my unit's patio. I also love waking up to the sound of the roosters every morning. Only one thing I wish the management can change is to give each unit daily supply of coffee. We were given 1 packet of coffee for the coffee machine on arrival and when I asked for more the next day, I was told it will be an additional cost. 

Family getaway

The resort itself is very nice and well kept.  The units in the Coral building are tired, but still clean.  However, this building is located across the street from the Beach House restaurant which creates noise from early morning until late at night.  Also, the bedrooms are located next to the common hallway and across from the parking garage which also causes noise.  There is no air conditioning, so the windows had to be open for air movement and then it sounded like the people in the hallway and garage were in the bedroom with us.  We were glad to leave and finally get a good night's sleep. I can't comment on the other buildings at this resort, but they were away from both the Beach House and the parking garage, so they are probably quieter and definitely have a better view of the ocean.

Avoid the Coral building

Great place to stay.  The room near the public parking can be noisy at times.  No AC.  Need to have the windows/doors/vents open to get a breeze through the room to be comfortable.  Roosters noisy in the morning.  Most the staff was kind and supportive except for one woman at the front desk.  Kind of grumpy.  The Resort is at a great place right at Lawai Beach with good snorkeling.  Room was clean and roomy.

Great View and Location

We love staying at Lawai Beach Resort. There are so many great things about it, but first and foremost is that each 7nit has an ocean view. Granted if you are on the first floor the view might be obscured by the gardens that surround the resort, but you still get the sounds of the ocean. Next best thing is that just across the road is one of the best snorkelling areas on the south shore. Riptides makes the best smoothies and the farmers markets are close enough to get everything you need. 

A week in Lawai

We really enjoyed our vacation at Lawai Beach Resort! Great view of the ocean, snorkeling across the street, beautiful sunsets and we met lots of friendly people there especially at the pool . ( having a heated pool was so nice!)The condo and grounds are clean and well kept. The kitchen is well stocked with all the pots and pans and dishes and appliances. The bathtub / shower has handles to aide in getting in and out.

Great place to stay!

I've stated at over 20 condos in my 30 plus years vacationing on Kauai. This resort is hands down the best. Most Kauai properties have lost the old style feeling. The suites with washer/dryer, all appliances, staggering views and is very clean well kept.
The snorkeling a stones throw away is the best on the island.
I ended up buying two weeks of timeshare. The price was so low I couldn't believe it.
This is a must see resort

This was our first time at Lawai Beach Resort. We stayed in a one bedroom unit on the first floor of the Banyan Building. The condo was spacious with a full bathroom with tub/shower combo and an additional final sink and mirror in the bedroom. As with most places in the islands, it is not air conditioned because the trade sounds help cool it. Also, electricity is very expensive and it is a luxury to have air conditioning. We did not have many issues with birds and roosters (ok, one distant rooster) and we kept out upper louvers on the windows closed in the bedroom, but open in the living room to cut down on noise.  Earplugs can be a great idea if needed. We had very comfortable temperatures day and night with breezes. The property is clean and  well kept. I believe all units have an ocean view--a great set-up. Pool area is nice and has a separate hot tub, at least at building B. Each building has its own pool. We did not use the mini-golf, tennis, pickleball, ping-pong, pool table, fitness area, and bocce ball, cornhole  & horseshoes. If we had come here with kids they would have loved it.  It is across the street from a small beach and fine dining restaurant. A food truck is out front with shave ice, snacks and light meals. It is 5 minutes from shopping centers, grocery store and village of Koloa as well as Poipu beach. I hope to come again and stay longer. 

Great Place to Stay with Ocean Views

We stayed in the Banyan building directly by the public parking lot, there were locals partying EVERY night with loud music and obnoxious noise. Tried to alert security but nothing was done since it’s a public lot. Will never buy into this timeshare for this reason. There has to be more privacy especially for the price. Not sure how that parking is left public when it is on Lawai Beach Resort property. In addition, The Beach House across the street uses the side and rear lot for their valet. It’s unfortunate that these downfalls take away from what could be a beautiful resort.
