This motel is no longer called the Columbus Inn. It's now called the BudgeTel. I had to find a place to stay for a short time here in Columbus. I picked this motel because I thought that the rate would have met my needs. The price was okay but the room wasn't. Wished that I could have read the reviews before stopping here. 

Room needed a lot of improvement. Older style television. Requested several times to have the vanity light be fixed but no maintenance person came to the room. Water pressure in vanity sink was low. Wi-fi signal was dropping all of the time. Signal was really low even though I was nine rooms from the office. 

Breakfast if there was any was poor. Had to get there early to make sure that there was food available to eat. Broken equipment in the breakfast room. Signs were posted in the breakfast room that warned that nothing could be taken out of the room. 

Found several roaches in the room. There is a guest laundry but all of the machines were broken. Getting clothes clean and dried here because the washers and dryers were $2 each. There is an outside pool but you have to get a pool pass. 

I couldn't get a full night's rest because of the other guests. Don't stay here on a weekend because the workers who stay here get drunk and there were a lot of broken glass beer bottles on the grounds the next morning.  Had unknown people knock on my door. Was told that this motel is frequented by prostitutes. During the week that I was here , I saw several police officers walk past my room.

Not Worth The Stay

My parents meant to book #1 of the hotels by Fort Benning but apparently they accidentally booked #41/#46.  I'm terrified to see hotels with worse ratings than this one.  Everything was stained and nasty.  They really captured the feel of an authentic crack-den.  I've stays some pretty icky places but this is by far the worst.

The people there were super sketch but my favorite part was when we were leaving at 3AM to get to the airport.  Some guy was at the front in -I kid you not- a velour jumpsuit...in June.  With sunglasses even though it was well before sunrise.  He got into his huge tricked out old multi-colored jaloppy with enormous rims with like 6 scantily clad females.  I've honestly never seen anything like it.  It was like a Saturday Night Live representation of a 90's rap music video.  I gotta get tested for AIDS.  Jeez

Oh man this place is brutal

We stayed at the hotel for our grandson's graduation at Ft. Benning.  We had the whole family staying there.  Our grandson and his wife stayed on for the weekend.  the hotel manager and staff went OUT OF THIER way to accommodate them with an early check in on Friday after the graduation.  They have a four month old baby and everything the hotel did was to make the stay comfortable for our family.  Because of the early check in they were able to spend time with the baby in the room before we left with the baby to bring him home with us so the couple could spend some time together.  The breakfast was good.  The rooms clean.  And the housekeeping outstanding.  Thank you all for a good experience.

This place is horrible!
The motel is in a....."neighborhood". it's crawling strung out prostitutes.....the Hispanics were disrespectful at 3 a.m, the bathroom was dirty, the lady at the front desk attitude was not friendly to the same gender and was dishonest about discounts, and the cable didn't work.

DON'T STAY HERE

Front desk staff was great and very helpful . My room was clean and the bed was comfortable . It was only about 5 minutes from the military base so that was great . The pool was big and it was kept clean & clear . Free Wi-Fi was available which was great for me having a lot of computer work to do . Breakfast was pretty decent they offered buscuits and gravy , waffles and a few other items . Over all I had a pretty good , relaxing stay . It was right in my budget . Nothing to fancy but it was comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap, clean stay .
