Visited with my Dad to watch the snooker on 30th Nov. On the whole a good experience, although my overriding experience is one of huge disappointment in the lack of contact and accessibility from the guest house since our visit. It advertises free parking but be careful in assuring that your vehicle registration is written down correctly by the owners who do this online for permit larking.(I didnt) this resulted in a digit wrong and a fine to wake up to the following morning.  The owners addure me they would resolve that morning but i have since received a fine weeks later. The local authority need the guest house to verify before they will reimburse the fine which I was left with no choice but to pay given my numerous calls to the guest house at varied times of day have gone unanswered, as has a message via booking.com that has been sent. The message facility on the website of the guest house doesn't allow to submit. On the whole this has taken away what should have been an enjoyable trip with my Father in what could be our last time able to do so but has been memorable for the wong reasons. I would have booked the guest house again had it not been for this and would really appreciate the owners getting in touch with me to resolve this ongoing issue.

Stayed here last night with my daughter. Room lovely and very clean, breakfast amazing, great choice of food, owners very welcoming and lovely to speak to. Stayed before and will definitely stay again.

Excellent place to stay

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room which was spacious and well appointed. There was an ample supply of tea, coffee and milk and accessories. Breakfast the following morning was excellent, not just plentiful, but everything was freshly made, This is a very convenient place to stay to explore York on foot as the on street parking can be busy and can be tricky to negotiate.

Phil and Theresa made us so welcome and we will be definitely be back whenever we visit York.
The rooms are spotless, the breakfast tasty and plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. And they made our stay extra special with fizz and chocolates in the fab outside space with a hot tub for my partner's 60th. Thank you!

This was the first time that we’ve stayed here & it won’t be the last. Hosts were very friendly & welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them & the breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever eaten. The rooms were very clean & comfortable. 10 minutes stroll into the city centre so ideally situated.

Annual Christmas Trip to York

Came for Christmas weekend shopping trip. Guest house is in a ideal spot just short walk into town about 10 mins. It is very clean and comfortable with a cracking breakfast. We stayed in room 9 at the top of the house it was spacious and comfortable.

Christmas stay

Really good place to stay about a 10 minutes walk into city centre. Lots to do and see and loads of places to drink and eat. The guest house is lovely and easy to find. It's really clean and the hosts very welcoming. The breakfast was really nice too and a good choice of full English. Cereals. Yoghurts fruit and croissants would defo sty here again

Superb guest accommodation,  clean , perfect , and the best breakfast ever, if your staying in York,  the perfect choice , close to the center, a short walk, and your at the minster,  city walls , railway museum in walking distance,  lovely couple,  can't help enough, 

Lovely b&b

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in this B&B. The hosts Phil and Theresa were great and accommodated our family of 10 amazingly, putting us all together in the same house where the bedrooms were beautifully decorated.  Full english breakfast was incredible every day and included gluten free options for myself, nothing was left out! Great location with free parking, just outside of the city centre, meant the area was nice and quiet at night but only a short walk took you in to the hustle & bustle of York. Wifi was non existent in the bedrooms but that's just a small issue. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
