The room is lovely as reminder my partner old house and the bathroom is separate but private for the room number 4 only.  It about 10-15 minutes walk it depend on your speed of walking. They will give you the key fob to access and it easy to use.  Roger is a lovely man.

Lovely and comfortable stayed for one night

What an absolute idiot of an owner, horrible stuck up, he wasn't accommodating at all, very rude obnoxious man, I will.never ever return, the room wasn't even cleaned, old toothbrush still there and a horrible tobacco smell too

Disgusting attitude

Great little guest house, spotlessly clean.inly a short walk to the city center .The room had all the basic amienties we needed.the owner was really helpful and friendly.great value for money.Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at York House and the caravan was even better than expected. Very well equipped. Like the site it was immaculate. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The site also had a large football field and great kids play area for the young ones. Good on site facilities and a cafe with outdoor seating. 

Situated close to Thirsk makes it a great base in North Yorkshire under Sutton Bank and half an hour from York. 

Wish we had stayed longer. A very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Fantastic relaxing stay, great base in N Yorshire.

Very convenient for buses into York car park just down the road and only £6per 24hours. Also host allowed me to use the fridge very helpful and friendly

Turned up for father in laws 50th birthday weekend in York on 13th of April for 2 nights got checked in and walked into York centre.we had just bought a drink and received a phone call saying we needed to urgently get back to the hotel or our belongings would be locked in as the bailiffs are on the way and they have been declared bankrupt we were panic strickened so ran back to the b&b to be smirked at by the owner who needed his head knocking off we packed our belongings and luckily got booked into the double tree by Hilton and Expedia are refunding the difference we have since learnt that this b&b have done the same thing two months ago so please please please don't book this place you most probably will regret it

Gone bankrupt twice

Me and the mrs stayed here on a saturday night for her birthday and found the place really nice ! The place is in good nick and the staff are really friendly. The breakfast was spot on and the location is good ! The only thing i could moan about is the parking as this is limited , but you can park around the corner free of charge ! I would definatley stay here again . 

Good weekendv

Great location when visiting York, only a ten minute walk to the city centre. Room was comfy, clean and big. Nice bath sheets in the bathroom. The owners have been very thoughtful and left additional room supplys in easy reach should they be needed. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Limited parking at the front. Very friendly staff, pleasant place to stay, highly recommended would stay again if in York
