Stayed here as a stopover as my flight was cancelled would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast great hospitality and wonderful breakfast can’t fault more than willing to help will definitely stay again

If you are travelling from Stansted we can thoroughly recommend stopping overnight here. We were able to leave our car here and after a lovely breakfast Carol was kind enough to drop us at the airport. On the way back we used the local bus which stopped right outside. Will definitely be back.

Excellent 

The location was perfect for our overnight stay for a morning flight. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of cereals fruit and yogurt. The jams and marmalade were lovely. The owner was a really nice friendly lady. We would definitely use this b&b again

Stopover for stansted airport

I got off the plane at 10:20 took a taxi straight to the Hotel couldn’t get an answer knock on the windows phoned the hotel taxi driver left I was left outside had to walk back to Stanstead airport it is now 220 am in the morning got to wait to 4 o’clock to get a coach to Heathrow then I have to wait another three hours to get a coach 830am to Exeter horrified by this experience you’ve took £45 of my money Carol I am very angry and upset as I’ve never heard anything like it in my life to run a B&B next to the airport and have a shutdown by 11 o’clock when I was outside your just after 11 I don’t know how you could leave someone on the street Josephine Rooney

If you like being treated with disdain then this is the place for you. From the word go your presence will be recognised as a necassary inconvieience. You will question your own value as a red blooded himan being, regardless of colour, size, health, creed, physical ability you will be subjected to an onslaught of abuse. Enjoy yoir stay.

A female basil fawlty

I booked the room as I had a 0630 flight from Stansted and wanted to get a few hours sleep before travel. 
I set off from Liverpool at 1800, aiming to be there for 2200 and be in bed by 2230
I had road closures all the way down - the M6, M1, A14, and I made Carol aware from 2200 that I was taking a lot longer than expected - we kept in touch by the hour to state where I was, and at 0030, with me just 20 minutes away, she told me that she was going to bed and I wouldn't be staying there
Why the key couldn't be left in a plantpot or somewhere else secret, I don't know
I had to sleep in my car as the other hotel she recommended wanted £120
For the sake of 20 minutes, she wouldn't stay up, knowing that she could go to bed pocketing £50 for doing nothing, relying on the check in time of 2330 on her T&C's to back her up
In this line of business, Customer Service is paramount, and people are bound to experience travel delays, especially when travelling long distances - I wasn't expecting her to stay up all night, but for the sake of 20 minutes, she wouldn't
So my holiday got off to the worst possible start, while Carol pocketed £50 for doing nothing - not washing a towel or the bed sheets, and not even willing to compromise. 
Next time I am at Stanstead, I will stay in a hotel with 24 hour reception so I can actually get to use the bed when I arrive, and not have to sleep in my car in the cold
Additionally, I had booked the double room, only to be told that a couple had turned up at 9pm, and she had swapped them into there and given me the twin - which if I had wanted the twin I would have booked the twin
It appears I am the 5th person of a small number to give a similar review, so it seems customer service isn't s strong point, and ripping people off is

Appalling Customer Service - avoid at all costs

extremely cringe worthy customer service. tried to cancel within 30 mins of booking because we could not work out checkin time with the manager at the b&b. lady wont refund the money or cancel the booking. she told booking.com that it was a no show so that she could keep all the money.

We had this bed and breakfast booked the lady was extremely rude when we had to cancel last minute due to circumstances. we were completely shocked at how an owner of a bed and breakfast could be so rude. We could not believe it. We certainly will be not booking this bed and breakfast in the future.
