Traveled to Sunderland for a course for work. Loved the room, stayed on the top floor and the view was lovely, had a chair by the window so you could sit and watch the boats go by on the sea. 

Had an en suite bathroom with shower. Mini fridge and microwave which is nice to save some money on eating out, you can get a few ready meals in. Owners leave tea/coffee supplies by the kettle too which is nice, they change the bin daily and leave fresh towels. Free wi-fi which was great for me as needed internet for work.

Amazing location, plenty of roadside parking and right next to the beach. Nice walk over to the lighthouse, lots of lovely places to get fish and chips by the beach. Shops nearby. Bed was really comfortable, usually when I stay in a hotel I really struggle to get a good nights sleep as I miss my own bed, but I slept really well in this bed which was fantastic when I was on a busy work trip. Stayed for 4 nights. Will definitely stay here again if I ever end up in Sunderland again.

Comfier than a hotel

The room was nicely decorated very clean comfy bed and good hot shower nice and peaceful breakfast was great handy to get to the beach will visit again nice friendly people free parking on street .beach was within waling distance but there are disabled parking spots on the sea front which is handy everywhere clean and tidy

Visiting home town Sunderland

We have just stayed here for 6 nights, what a gem of a place. Clean,warm, lovely decor, amazingly comfy beds with fridge, kettle, mugs & tea/coffee. Great ensuite with great shower.  Fabulous freshly cooked breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble for Brian & his lovely staff. Literally 10 steps to the end of the road & your at the beach.

B & B with the personal touch

Bed was super comfy,clean crisp bed linen. Quiet street on street free parking. Good WiFi. Hot shower .Immaculate room with new decor .very friendly owners . 2mins walk to the sea.  
I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Sunderland. Hidden gem.dont miss .


Super guest house better than local hotels

I really like this B and B and would choose over the hotels locally ,including the big chains. The owners and rest of the team are friendly but not overly fussy which I really like. The rooms are really clean and most newly refurbished. Beds are comfy with crisp bedlinen. Why would you choose a hotel when you can stay in such a cosy place and so near to the sea for great walks. If a local restaurant is needed the Roker hotel is a safe 5 mins walk and the Italian is worth a visit - great steak.

yes its a B and B - but with a differance

We found this guesthouse purely by chance and it turned out to be a hidden gem! The room was beautifully clean and warm with ample facilities within. The shower room was huge, although we shared with other residents.
We had special dietary requirements and the breakfast was amazing, with all the things you don't expect to be able to eat whilst away from home, the staff were very accommodating and extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend this quaint B & B to anyone.
