What a Gem! On first arriving at Stoney Bridge, in Wooden, near Saundersfoot, we were firstly greeted by the lovely Gill, who welcomed us in with a warm smile into the Luxurious House, which was to be our home for the Weekend.  We then met Steve the bubbly brummie, who was just as affable as his good lady wife. We were escorted to our George our Sandpiper suite, and no sooner had we unpacked, that we were on our way out to the beautifully sculptured garden, to enjoy our complimentary, homemade, Freshly Baked Scones with Cream and Jam accompanied by a pot of finest Tea. We also had a chance to meet the Beautiful Dixie, the resident, Wired Hair Terrier, who made us feel more than welcome to her home. There were many luxurious and complimentary touches, such as the Homemade, Lemon Biscuits, which my Wife adored (which we had to force Steve to reveal the recipe before we left), in the mini fridge, there was also the Salted Caramel Chocolate from Caerswys which has now become my firm favourite along with a choice of sparkling and still mineral waters, not forgetting of course a great range of Luxury Tea and Coffee at our disposal and all of this was within a Half Hour country lane walk of our favourite happy place, the seaside town of  Saundersfoot.  Beautiful B&B, Warm, Friendly and Professional Hosts, stunning Breakfasts, and our only regret, is that we we will never experience such affordable luxury ever again, provide by such outstanding hosts, because Gill and Steve are soon to be retiring, oh how we wish we could turn back time and had visited sooner. The hospitality sector will be a cold and lonely place without them. We cannot thank This wonderful couple enough for our stay. We arrived as guests, but left, feeling like old friends. Wooden you believe it ?

This was our third stay at Stoneybridge. The rooms are absolutely beautiful with lots of thoughtful touches - a fridge to chill your drinks, bottled water  wine glasses, toiletries, cotton wool, tissues etc.

There is a good selection of teas and coffee available, fresh milk in the fridge, homemade biscuits and chocolate. The cream tea on arrival is immense too!

The breakfast menu is excellent - there is something for everyone.

Gill and Steve are fabulous hosts and nothing is too much trouble.

Wonderful place!

Stoney Bridge is now our favourite Luxury B&B and we’ve stayed in a lot throughout the UK.  Owners Steve & Gill are very thoughtful and looked after us like family. Greeted by little Dixie we enjoyed a delicious cream team in the garden before settling into our room.

We stayed in the Sandpiper room, which was luxurious, spotless and with a wonderful view of the well kept garden and adjacent field.  My partner especially loved the changing room with dresser, promptly setting up shop with no room for me!  We loved the little treats left each day, chocolate and homemade biscuits.

After sampling a different breakfast choice each day and enjoying a superb pre-booked glazing antipasti board, we can attest that Steve is a wonderful cook.

Gill is easy to approach and talk to with an excellent knowledge on the area to help with sightseeing.

The location is perfect for visiting the South Wales area.  We’ve enjoyed castles, beach walks and dolphin spotting! Saundersfoot is a great little place, less busy than Tenby but has an excellent choice of food & drinks. Pre-book though.

We can’t recommend this B&B highly enough!

Favourite B&B

I have spent a wonderful few nights in the Oystercatcher room at Stoney Bridge. It was absolutely fabulous, spotless and luxury. 
The room is perfect and everything thought about for your stay. Gill and Steve were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble, they should be very proud of their business. Plenty of high quality breakfast and nothing too much trouble. Thank yiu

Wonderful stay

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights to celebrate his birthday. We wanted to stay somewhere “special”, and that is exactly what it was. Gill & Steve are great hosts and the have a fabulous luxury bed and breakfast place, but they also made us feel right at home. The rooms are very large and decorated very tastefully and the bathroom was “to die for”. The bed is super comfy. I love a bath and we stayed in the Oystercatcher room which has a large stand alone tub - what luxury. Hubby prefers a shower and this room has a very large shower as well, so we both got what we wanted. The breakfasts were super tasty and you had lots of choice, we both had the full breakfast and the ingredients are all locally sourced. Delicious. On our arrival we were given a cream tea that was a nice touch and kept us going until our dinner that we had already booked for down at the harbour in Saundersfoot. Gill & Steve can give you lots of recommendations of places to eat and things to do whilst there. On our second evening we decided to have one of the tasty platters that they offer. We decided to eat this in the lovely guest lounge whilst watching the rugby. It was beautifully prepared and there was so much on the board that there was no way we could eat it all. But there was so much tasty produce and we enjoyed everything that was on there. All too soon it was time to leave but we decided to return in 2 weeks time and we are taking my Dad as a treat for his birthday. And what a treat it will be. What more can I say - a definite endorsement as we booked to return as we were leaving. See you in a couple of weeks! Excited for our return but not too long to wait. Michele & Ian

Fantastc - what a great place!

We have just spent a wonderful 5 nights in the Oystercatcher room at Stoney Bridge - my 7th visit and my partner's 3rd visit! Everything was perfect: the cream tea on arrival; the breakfasts; the homemade biscuits in the room; the sharing platters; and the hosts Gill and Steve and dear little Dixie the dog! This B&B definitely deserves the word 'luxury' in it's name. 
Stoney Bridge is a wonderful base for exploring Pembrokeshire. You can walk down the lane opposite the B&B to Saundersfoot in about 30 minutes and then walk to Tenby or Amroth on the coastal path, or you can take the car and explore a little further afield.

Perfect!

Can only echo what everyone else has already said . Fantastic luxury place , great breakfast, friendly helpfull  owners . Great base for exploring  a lovely area  . Lovely breakfasts and platters. And a complimentary  cream tea!

Wonderful  stay

Friends of ours have raved about this place for ages so we decided we would try and book a 2 night stay as a belated Wedding Anniversary gift to each other.

As we had left it quite late we didn't have a choice of rooms however the Sandpiper was absolutely gorgeous!  I personally loved the dressing room from which my husband was banned!  The whole place is beautifully decorated, furnished and spotless.

My husband cycled down to meet me there.  Gill greeted me as I arrived first and made sure we had everything we needed
and arranged for our cream tea to be served once he had arrived.

We were very impressed by the selection of teas and coffees in the room along with the homemade biscuits which were AMAZING!  We also appreciated the gorgeous homemade cake that was left for us on Sunday.

The breakfast selections were outstanding and all beautifully prepared and presented - good tea and coffee too.

We went out to eat in Tenby on Saturday evening but had decided to preorder the Antipasti board on Sunday so we could relax.  Great variety of produce and it was huge but we managed to demolish most of it!

The garden is lovely and we were lucky to have been able to sit out, enjoy the sun and relax on the comfortable garden furniture.

My only complaint is that we couldn't take gorgeous Dixie the Dog home!! 😉

5 stars all the way!  Thank you Gill and Steve, we will be back!

Wow!

My Sister and I have just had a wonderful 3 nights in the Terns bedroom. Everything was just as we like it - from the warm welcome you receive from Gill and Steve, to the tastefully furnished bedroom to the really delicious breakfasts. We had a lovely cream tea in the landscaped gardens on arrival. Homemade biscuits were replenished every day. Gill and Steve have thought about everything. Thank you so much. We would definitely return and thoroughly recommend it.

A wonderful end to the summer

My mother and I stayed in the “Oystercatcher” for 3 nights and had the most memorable stay. Gill and Steve looked after us so well and we felt entirely comfortable with all the Covid precautions they had put in place. The house is beautiful and spotlessly clean. 

We had 3 delicious breakfasts, all cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. One evening we stayed in and had the Welsh cheese platter - it was fantastic! 3 different types of cheese, walnuts, grapes, chutney, cheese biscuits and the most fresh, warm tasty bread. 

The complimentary cream tea was lovely - as were the homemade biscuits (Steve did reveal the recipe!) The toiletries were by Elemis and greatly appreciated.

We made great use of the balcony and enjoyed a glass of wine as the sun went down. We had a nice walk around the garden and met their sweet dog Dixie too! Gill and Steve took care of everything and anything we needed (taxi bookings, luggage etc) and they couldn’t have been friendlier or kinder. If you’re looking for a slice of luxury then look no further. 

I would also recommend looking at the book of how Stoney Bridge came to be - Gill and Steve have compiled a memory book of the transformation they’ve made to the house when they originally got it. Quite amazing!  Thank you for a truly memorable stay.
