My husband and I, wanted a comfortable stay, close to our family who were staying at a local caravan park. Lower Lacan. 

We had a lovely and peaceful stay, a comfortable room with everything we required, a twin room with en suite bathroom.
Room service every day, fresh filtered water, tea and coffee facilities. The hosts, Wendy and Gary were on hand at all times if we required anything.
On arrival, the house was very welcoming, a large drive with lovely gardens. The presence of a beautiful cat William, and a hen, Stephanie, both were obviously part of the family, but remained outside.
Food was great, cooked breakfast if required, but a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurts, fresh juice toast, tea and coffee, as reguired. 

We would love to come back. Thank you  for the great service and conversation with Wendy and Gary and a friend of yours Thomas, what delightful company.

Two adults visiting alone

My grandmother lives in Wem and two of my best friends are moving here. I joined them for breakfast. The hosts could not be more informed, helpful or charming. I have severe food allergies and Wendy the owner took this in her stride, providing me with the best gluten-free sausages I have ever tasted. The place is spacious, vintage decor meets all mod cons, and immaculate. The room my friend was in looked lovely and was fully equipped. There were even chickens wandering around, it could not have been nicer. Excellent job, should be thoroughly proud.  It is also very conveniently located within walking distance of the train station

We stayed at Aston Lodge while at a wedding in the area. It was a great surprise that it was so lovely for such good value! The room was really spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. Wendy was also really accommodating when I told her our arrival time had changed. We had breakfast on our second morning: there was a great spread and our hosts were really eager to please. Only (tiny!) thing is that there weren't any breakfast tea bags in the large selection we had in our room. Don't know if this is the same across all the rooms but I thought it was worth mentioning in case others felt the same. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Lovely Guest House, Excellent Value

Wendy and Gary are such wonderful hosts, then rooms are very nice and the breakfast is wonderful. Location is perfect for the carnival, walking distance to everything. Wem is a lovely town and the carnival is such fun 

Carnival every year 2018

Everything was spotlessly clean. They thought of everything when putting the rooms together and the amenities inside - and lots of electrical outlets so phones can be charged. The hosts are very thoughtful and attentive, but not intrusive. Breakfast had a huge selection, fresh fruit and the cooked breakfast was excellent (no problem for vegetarians, they're happy to be accommodating!). Character - if you want - from their cat and the resident chicken (we only saw both briefly). Would definitely stay there again should we need a place to stay in the area.

Perfect B&B

Lovely visit fantastic breakfast amazing service only negative. Was tea bags  would like a basic tea bag nothing special otherwise great service not first visit .,. Great place for visiting my son now he's moved to Shropshire lovely people friendly 😊😊
