We stayed at the Cawood Guest House in June ‘18 while on a two week vacation through the UK with our two teenage boys.  Barbara was more than welcoming and the rooms/bathrooms so very clean and nice.  The breakfast was wonderful and extremely accommodating as we were asked what items we wished to have ready for the next morning.  We were also directed to local attractions (Wolsey Walk, Cawood Church and Cawood Castle) and the bus schedule as we moved on to the next stop in our trip.  Cannot thank you enough for this special stop on our “Caywood” family trip!  You truly made us feel welcome!

I visited Cawood Guest House last Friday evening and was absolutely thrilled! I had parking right outside, my room was lovely with it's own private bathroom. The room had everything and more I could need including a fridge with bottled water and well presented milk, there were even facilities such as a microwave and facilities for eating. A lovely touch was providing both decaf tea and coffee; presentation was fabulous and the bed was super comfy. Barbara greeted me on arrival and was so lovely and helpful as she was the following morning at breakfast where again what was on offer, the quality and presentation again was fabulous. Quality menu for hot food even if I opted for boiled eggs. All in all I have t9 say this was excellent value for money and will most definitely book again and recommend. Thanks again Barbara and good luck with the vinegars!

Cawood Guest House was the perfect venue for a weekend visit to our family near York.  Our double room with ensuite bath and shower in Barbara’s house was furnished to the highest of standards, with many extra, personal touches to cater for every possible individual need.  We enjoyed an excellent, freshly cooked breakfast each morning, with a wide selection of choices on the menu, both hot and cold.  The quiet neighbourhood, our friendly and welcoming hostess and the comfortable accommodation all contributed to us being able to enjoy a relaxing few days with our family in this lovely village. Yet another fantastic 2 night stay in the Blue room this time. Thank you , room just as comfortable every detail yet again wi fi ( free) tea coffee water hot choc every thing you could want excellent breakfast 

2-night stay whilst in the area for a sporting event. Nothing too much trouble for excellent host Barbara. The welcoming atmosphere, well decorated comfortable room and facilities plus a wonderfully varied choice of breakfast made me wish i could have planned to stayed longer. Accommodation is Ideally placed for all nearby attractions.

Stayed one night when at a 40th nearby. Wonderfully comfortable bedroom with great ensuite that even has a bath. Rooms have been beautifully decorated. Facilities include everything you could want. Nothing is too much trouble for Barbara and breakfast was amazing!
