Lovely room an  breakfast in idyllic surroundings, welcoming host who helps out in any way possible. The only negative was that my room was above the breakfast area so I awoke to chatting guests at 8am. I would definitely stay again but ask for another room only for this reason as I'm a late riser.

Very nice welcoming stay

We just needed a bed and breakfast near our grandchildren’s holiday park. This did that, but we got a lot more too. The bedroom was in a converted outbuilding on an old farm. The conversion was extremely comfortable and well-appointed but even better was in a lovely, tranquil spot surrounded by fields. The main farmhouse had been a form of art gallery or art exhibition site and there were still some lovely statues and exhibits among the buildings. 
The welcome and the food were a bonus. The hostess is lovely and the breakfast buffet huge and delicious. You eat in a room surrounded by pictures, pottery and other things that showcase the building. If we had had the time we would liked to look around the fields and wood around the farm, maybe even follow some of the footpaths that lead out from the building. 
The peace and quiet and the quality of the building and our welcome made it worth every penny. 



An individual relaxing stay

We received a warm welcome and although check in is officially 5pm, our room was ready by 3pm. Up a little wooden staircase in this lovely old house was a really ancient room which had been made very comfortable despite the quirky aspects, such as ancient floorboards, that you would expect in a building of this age. It had a modern bathroom. The garden is large and in keeping with the character of such a house, Breakfast was ample, in a bright room with inglenook fireplace and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A lovely stay in a beautiful Tudor farmhouse

We have just spent 3 lovely days staying at Thurstons Farm which is in a tranquil part of Suffolk. Our bedroom was extremely comfortable with beautiful Tudor beams and windows and a nice view over the countryside. The doorways are quite low but so very charming and my 6ft 3 tall husband managed fine with no bruises! Amy has been a most attentive hostess and the breakfasts were great. I loved the external decorations on the farmhouse, pargetting??, and the local pub, The White Horse, was friendly and served good evening meals. Definitely recommend this home for a very comfortable stay.

Wonderfully comfortable Tudor farmhouse with delightful owner

Arrived Friday afternoon and was shown a lovely little spot to set up, had a great time very peaceful with beautiful surroundings, would definitely visit again. Thank you for your hospitality Kerry and Ade Ryan x

Camping

One of us was inbound from London on the Dunwich Dynamo cycle run, so it was decided to make a weekend of it.  One of us drove up and spent the first night here, and then we had a couple's break.

This is a quaint little listed Tudor building (grade 2*) miles from nowhere.  Turn off a little country road and you find yourself pulling into the gravel courtyard with a well in the garden.

Inside, there are several B&B rooms.  We were in Room 3, and it was small, but beautiful with beams, low door frames (watch your head!), a television, kettle with coffee and tea and no shortage of power points to charge your gadgets.  The WiFi signal is there, but not particularly strong.  That said, unless you want to stream NetFlix or something, it is more than adequate.  The shower is great, and the whole place is obviously very well kept, clean and dry.  There are two windows on corners of the building, looking out over the gardens, with rudimentary 'double glazing' as I suspect the room could get quite chilly in the winter.  

Amy is the landlady and she is very pleasant and chatty, and allowed us to see the huge fireplace in the family room, which had been discovered by accident, as it had been boarded up (and slightly damaged) by previous owners. 

We are vegan and have nothing but praise for the effort to which the owner went to get us some delicious vegan cereals for breakfast, along with almond milk.  

There are two cats - Hitchcock (the one you see in these photos) and Viggo (not sure of the spelling).  They're both beautiful and friendly. 

All in, the place oozes quaint charm, and is perfect if you want to get away from it for a couple of days or longer.  We didn't explore as our cyclist was too tired, but there is a medieval friary not too far, which will be on our list next year, when we go back.  As we will.  :-)

Quaint little hotel, great service and stunning surroundings

We stayed at Thurstons Farm to go to a wedding nearby. It was so peaceful, and the surroundings were beautiful. Amy was a fantastic host who made us feel very welcome. Our room was in a converted barn and we loved waking up in the morning to the sound of birds outside our window. Lovely place, 15 minute drive to Thorpeness and Aldeburgh. Thank you Amy.
