Not going to win 4 in a bed ! But clean comfortable and a pleasant stay !

Staff absolutely fantastic - room was hot due to radiator on all the time and though turned off, was still on. Opened a window that helped and there was a fan in the room so bearable. Had requested double but got a twin - wasn't that fussed so didn't bother asking if could change. Overall would recommend for sure - location great.

Fantastic pub with all the charms required. Staff were lovely and friendly and I had one of the best evening meals I have ever had here!Great location close to the Elan valley, quirky little shops and everything you could need for a lovely night away.Downside, there is only pay and display parking a street away & breakfast is served in the bistro also a street away. The rooms are basic and up a flight of stairs but I would still recommend a stay here.

Sunday lunch. We booked the table a few weeks ago and just as well as there was a steady stream of people turned away as they were fully booked. Sunday lunch was beef, turkey or salmon for £12.99. We had beef. Pipping hot and large portions, good selection of veg. Three desserts on the menu, tasty that we tried. Highly recommend. 
Inside, the pub is old fashioned, beams and dark. If that is not your thing go elsewhere. 
Staff were very nice and efficient.
Our bill was ~£60. Excellent value we thought.

Fantastic Sunday lunch

The perfect location to explore the valley. The team were friendly and helpful. The accommodation needs updating is in a pub, so not great if you go to bed early as it can be a bit noisy, however, if you enjoy a drink and good food until closing time then it's perfect. The food served in the pub was delicious.

So disappointed mismatch furniture bathroom really dirty the next morning someone barged in without knocking saying we should have checked out by now even though we had booked for two nights...
We stayed in room one the mattress felt like I could feel every spring even though they had put two mattress toppers which were thin.  Every time you moved it ruffled the toppers up so you ended up sleeping with a massive crease across your back.
Paid £90 per night my friend booked for the same day and she paid 40 pound the excuse was we booked at different times.

The lady that worked in the Crown was lovely and helpful given us good advice on where to go and the food was lovely just wish the decor of the Crown carried on into the rooms..

I wish I read the reviews first

From the owners to all of their staff they were all very welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent value. Our room was good adequate for what we wanted as we were visiting the Royal Welsh show so not in our room very much. Bedding was very clean.
