After reading all the negative reviews about this hotel I was pleasantly surprised with our stay.
Staff were polite and very helpful.
We were upgraded on arrival due to a cancellation which was nice.
Room was clean and clean towels were provided on request, complementary tampons in bathroom and chocolate and glitter sprinkled on the pillows.
The owner "dad" waited up for us and made sure we got home safely!
Overall very good stay, highly recommended

Rooms were very cheap and after reading the reviews my expectations were very low even brought our own bed sheets however surprisingly the rooms were very clean, the bedding was clean we didn't even use our sheets we brought. 

Bumped into the cleaner a few times on the stairways cleaning the bathroom, she was very nice and friendly. All staff seemed very friendly.  

After checking out I offered the staff money to save my bags until the end of the day and they did it for free. 

£10 a night don't go with expectations of a palace, it's nothing special but the rooms are clean and the bathroom was clean can't really ask for more at £10 per person per night. If you're anything like our group and just want to sleep there and nothing more then I highly recommend if you're on a budget. 

Only thing I would say is the windows on the right hand side of the hotel could do with a clean (Our window was fine at the front) But it does make it look a little run down from the outside. I would say the carpets on the stairways needs modernizing as it's very retro but like I said if you go there just to sleep then £10 pp highly recommend A++ 
(It's also literally about a 1 minute walk from the pier and all the amusements)

Clean room very cheap.

It was Atrocious I wouldn’t let my dog live there it is a right sh*thole I’ve seen better dog kennels so do not waste your time and money on this place absolute waste of money it’s not worth your time or anyone else’s no sea view either the view is just some s council houses

horrible place don’t come!!!!!!

Could you imagine booking  for 3 night  for 2 room to Singleton hotel , we were been moved to Maryport hotel  due to renovation which is  a breach of contract ., we could only manage 2 night .To crown it all is the worst hotel , l have ever booked into 😧😧😧😧as soon as you walked through the front it’s a nightmare , the smell is horrible  and the so called horrible manager Royce  refuse to give us  refund back.

House of horrors

This was an awful place. The carpets stank and were matted, the room was disgusting, broken beds and mattresses that didn't fit and were far beyond the sell by date. Dead flies under the duvets. The sink had only on tap that worked. The curtain rail was broken. The drawers were broken. The ceiling had some sort of "ooze" coming from it..... what is was I have no idea.  The room had NO heating at all.   We just walked straight back out and found somewhere else to sleep. This place should not be trading in this state.
It is very close to the pier though..... if that is your only priority.... you'll love the place.

The worst place I've ever stayed in........ well.... we didn't.....

I have never in my life stayed in such a filthy,rundown,Dirty hole.
Booked for a girls weekend and although it was very cheap ..I feel we should have been paid to stay there.
We had a ground floor room which had 3 single beds ( hmp beds are probably better) & 2 sets of bunks. My single bed well the matress was to big so everytime moved I fell out the bed.The carpets were stinking and damp, beds were vile hair and stains in them. There is 2 toilets which are shared ..OMG 1 had leaked urine all over the floor & the other had smears of crap all over the walls.I did not use the showers incase i caught something so felt diagusting all weekend.DO NOT STAY. I am suprised it has not been closed down. This hotel trades under 3 different names. The hangover hotel, singletons & adam & eve. 
The only plus side was the guy who managed it he was friendly and helpful

Double bed & bunk bed in a small room.
Blood on walls
Small dirty bathroom shared between 5/6 rooms.
No staff in the building.
Only good thing is the location of the 'hotel'.
Would not stay here again.
