What was good

The hotel is situated in wonderful grounds with fantastic views and close to local amenities. The hotel and my room were spotless

What was bad

The hotel could not find my booking. I had to search through my bank statement to find the transaction so that it could be matched up with their records. That doesn't sound too bad except I was their for a wedding that started at 13:00 and I could not check in until 15:00 so by then I was unable to drive so not being able to find my booking became an issue. Separately the lady in the Spa was rude when asked simple questions and felt the need to huff when I confirmed the answers she gave me. She appeared to be the only staff member on at the Spa however it was not busy.
