We stayed 3 nights and were well looked after by Anne.  The breakfasts were excellent and generous and our room was spacious and comfortable with everything we needed for a great stay.  The house is beautiful and well maintained and just minutes walking to the train station but on a quiet side road.  It is also a nice walk (about 10-15 mins walk) into the centre of Penzance with its collection of good eating places and shops.  Parking on the street outside the property wasn't a problem.  It was a great base to start our Cornish exploration.  I would say that there are steps to negotiate up to the house and then up to the rooms so may not be ideal for everyone. Great location, comfortable stay

We stayed here for 2 nights, visiting from Southport for a funeral. Anne was a delightful host and very attentive, she even let us check in early due to the circumstances.  The whole place was spotless, breakfast was delicious and plentiful. 5 minute walk in to town centre.  
Would highly recommend and would definitely go back

RELAXING STAY

My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in the UK.  We
visited London, Scotland, and finished up in Cornwall.  My grandmother was born in Cornwall in 1875 and this was our first trip to Cornwall and we were really looking forward to it.  We selected the Penrose Guest House because of it's walking distance from the train station and other location.in town.  The proprietor was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area.  The rooms were spotless, breakfast was excellent, ordered the night before and served at the requested time.  I can honestly say it was the nicest accommodation we stayed and would highly recommended it to anyone.

50th Wedding Anniversary Trip

We had a lovely stay here. The location is excellent. A couple of minutes walk from 
Penzance town  centre and also from the train and bus station. On a nice quiet street. Easy to get to Land's end on the bus and a 15 min drive from the lovely St. Ives. The room was comfortable, clean, with good wardrobe space and a nice big window for fresh air. TV and DVD player in room and a good selection of DVDs available. Good powerful shower. 

Breakfast was very nice. Lots of choice and well cooked and presented.

A really nice stay

I stayed here with my son and his partner for two nights in July. The other reviews say it all. The rooms were spotless, the breakfasts were excellent and Anne was very attentive and provided us with plenty of useful information about the area and suggested places to visit.
