We booked for two nights at this B&B and were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and welcoming. 

We had a room on the top floor. It was a cosy little room, but very clean and comfortable. The room had an en-suite toilet but we had to use the shower on the next floor down. This was fine for us as we knew beforehand.

There is a comfortable lounge downstairs in which guests are welcome to sit and relax.

Breakfast is served in the dining room, each room has its individual table. as cereal and toast there is a full English cooked fresh.

Once service was over the owner, Rick, got his guitar out and sang a few songs to the guests including one he wrote called Boogie Woogie Breakfast at the Innisfree. We enjoyed his singing, but it may not be to everyones taste. 

He told us about a folk singing evening he attends and invited us along. There he sung more of his compositions and encouraged my wife to get her guitar out and sing a few too.

This isn't the most up to date modern B&B but it is clean, comfortable, friendly and good value.

Boogie Woogie Breakfast!

The hosts here are friendly and put you at your ease. They also do there best to help with directions and local advice wherever they can. The mattress was a little lumpy and this impacted on our sleep though the mattress here is no worse than what you get in a travel lodge and I suppose it depends on what type of mattress you are used to. We had a ensuit room and it was basic but sufficient. Overall in terms of Paignton b&b prices this place is worth the money at around 50 pounds per night. I enjoyed my breakfast both mornings and the landlady was very thoughtful remembering that I didn't like fried bread even though I forgot to tell her on the 2nd morning.  They are lovely people. Don't miss out book ASAP they are busy...

our room was cheap but very basic however it wasn't expensive so can't complain. The landlady was friendly, approachable and always available to help. The breakfast was lovely. The twin room was very cheap and you get what you pay for, no frills

Having decided to take my young dog away for her first holiday by the sea, I searched for a dog friendly hotel.  I also wanted somewhere on level ground and near to the beach with off-street parking available.  The Innisfree hotel in Paignton met all these requirements.  I phoned the hotel and spoke to the hotel owner who was very  helpful in allocating my friend and I with 2 adjacent double rooms nos 9&10 on the first floor at the back of the hotel. Both rooms had ensuite shower rooms plus  washbasins in the main bedrooms.  The price was more than reasonable - £35 per night each with full English breakfast included.  I booked over the phone with payment to be made at the end of the stay.  On arrival, the owner met us and offered to help us with our luggage which was greatly appreciated.  The rooms were spotlessly clean and supplied with lovely bathroom towels and accessories and tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits as well. TV sets were also provided and free Wi-fi..  The beds were very comfortable indeed.  My only suggestion for improvement  would be for at least one higher easy chair to be placed in room 9 as the current low ones are difficult for anybody with back problems!   The full English breakfast was excellent and there was a friendly atmosphere in the breakfast room with the owners greeting everyone and being helpful with any queries about locations people wanted to visit during their stay.  There is also a comfortable communal lounge with TV for visitors to enjoy.  I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a good value for money and human/dog friendly accommodation by the sea in Devon.

Excellent value for money

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights in a ground floor twin which was fine very clean and pleasant room.the only thing we didn't like and would stop us from going there again is that the people next door had a dog and that was fine except for the time we both happened to come in at the same time we couldn't get to our room without passing the snarling Alsatian.i think its fine for people to take animals but surely not a great big dog.
It's a little dated but homely and welcoming.dont expect too much and you won't be disappointed
