Sunnybrae Caravan Park - Families and Couples Only

First stayed here in 2010 and every year since! The original owners were a hard act to follow, but the new ones have certainly kept up the high standards. Unfortunately the weather this year was not too kind (!) but still a great week. The view from the lodge is second to none, always something to watch - boats of all types passing through, the ferry, gannets, seals etc and an otter a few times in the water or out on the grass. Well worth looking up the history of the island before a visit, there are a couple of Facebook pages. Being a small island you can see it all in half a day, but much better to take your time. A small shop on the island and the Atlantic Isles Centre (in walking distance if you are fit!) who do excellent food, but not every day. Lots of wildlife to see - otters, gannets, ravens, golden eagles, buzzards, lots of sea birds and also saw a sea eagle twice. Nearby you have Oban and a fast RIB boat ride with Seafari through the whirlpool is recommended! Hope to be back next year!
