This is a really nice hotel.Tom and his Wife are superb people.. Nothing is to much bother..Hotel parking.. Our room was excellent with an amazing view...Great breakfast..Not full Scottish,but almost.Fine range of breakfast foods.Location is perfect...Yes fine stay..

First Class

Tom was very helpful and interesting. 
Room very clean and lovely view.
We only stayed one night as catching ferry to Mull. Good parking and very easy access to town.
Upgraded our room so we were on the ground floor.
Thank you for a lovely stay we will be back

Great start to holiday

We booked a king Seaview and we very happy with it. Large room with fab view. Comfortable and clean, a bit of dust around skirting boards. Good breakfast,  fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful.  Close to town with free easy parking

Great views

Great views over the bay (recommend getting sea view if possible), hotel is handy for all amenities.   Room was large and comfortable.   Breakfast was continental style with hot rolls available too.   Staff were friendly and helpful.   Easy to find as it’s bright yellow!

Good location and friendly staff

Another visit to the hotel. And another great stay. The owners can't do enough for you during your stay. Rooms, location and breakfast spot on. The hotel is minutes from the town centre and all that Oban offers. It is my pleasure to recommend the hotel for your next visit to Oban.

Fabulous

Fantastic visit in the days of corona. Suite option taken - no sharing of the tv - one each. Beautiful rooms and classy bathroom with top notch toiletries. Very comfortable bed. Enough room in the suite to swing 4 medium sized cats or 2 Maine Coone cats.
But....as good as the suites and rooms are - the people are what make the holiday. Or, in this case, person. 
Step forward and take a bow Tom. He’s like having your own personal tourist information in house....coffee? Best coffee’s here....fish and chips? Go here.....boat trip? So and so is doing this type, that type. Carved stones? Got those....castle anyone? Over here.... oh...and here’s your map....absolutely loved it. And will be back. 
Ps. It’s the yellow one. When you are tired of driving you don’t even have to look at the map- it’s yellow and it’s in front of you.

Twice as much perfection

Stay here for a week and Tom couldn't have been more helpful, room was clean and warm , would definitely stay again. Easy to find and good access to the town centre. Of road parking is a big thing in oban.

Great location, but getting tired. Needs a spruce up and a good clean.  Plenty of other places nearby that will get my custom next year.  It is only 3 star, so you can’t expect everything, but should have been better.  Mull is definitely worth a visit as is Glencoe.


Never again

The Kings Knoll has been around for quite a number of years now in its present guise and it’s fair to say it’s getting a bit tired but we had a pleasant two night stay in a comfortable room, the en-suite was “compact”.

The Web Site said bar meals were served but we found this has been discontinued, breakfast was good.

An Old Haunt

We arrived after a rather traumatic holiday in Iona during which I had sustained a painful leg injury. This was the best night’s sleep I have had in a while in a beautiful, clean, comfortable room with a great view of the waterside. The man behind the desk was very kind to me and my daughter and helped us take our bags to the room. The hearty breakfast was delicious and served by a lovely, cheerful lady. Thank you so much for a wonderful end to a challenging holiday.
