My wife and I moved into the area over a year ago and have enjoyed our visits to The Crown with the friendly regulars in the comfortable bar attentively served by owner Simon and wife Tanya. In addition to the well stocked bar The Crown also serves hot and cold food. For smokers there is also an outside tabled area in the courtyard at the rear of the pub. Recommended.

A Friendly Local

My wife and I recently moved to the area in September this year and enjoyed our first local hospitality at The Crown, where we met quite a few of the friendly regulars in the warm atmosphere of the bar. Our first visit was actually a mistake as we thought we had booked a table for dinner, having apologised for being slightly late, only to be told it wasn't a restaurant followed by much laughter from the locals. We have since returned on three occasions with our daughters to enjoy drinks in the cosy bar, attentively served by owner Simon and Tanya. We will return again for more fun when Covid19 allows us. Recommended.

Friendly Local Pub

Very welcoming bar staff. Good snacks, great beer. Entertaining chat. Friday night cheese board is ace. Handy barbers outside. Great old school music selection in the duke box. Nice inside since the revamp.

Great atmosphere

We stayed here as a family base for a racing event nearby. We were extremely late checking in and a last minute request for an extra room was graciously accommadated. Our dogs were welcomed. The hotel was clean and great value for money with an amazing breakfast. Paddy was fantastic and we will stay here again for sure.

Fantastic place to stay.

Clean, friendly Staff comfortable place to stay local for Crick boat show. Really good breakfast, the sausages and bacon were locally sourced and really good. Also had Marstons Pedigree on tap! Best beer ever. Shame about the loud music which carried on until 1am: definitely uncalled for.

Comfortable nights stay

Booked this based on reviews and having been slightly disappointed with other hotels in the area. It is a great local pub with immaculate rooms and an incredibly welcoming host Paddy. Great simple good value no frills food and good beer. Will be booking again soon when I am working in the area.

Great for business overnights

Had a one night stopover, was over the moon with the standard of the rooms, great setting, amazing atmosphere. We were well looked after by Patrick the landlord and considering we stumbled on this place unintentionally, we'll definitely be coming back.

Overnight stay

Nice room, but a bit dissapointed.
There was a humming noice from a motor for most of the night
Shower was actually dangerous as was almost impossible to get non-scalding water out of it . And this from someone who likes really hot water!
Wifi signal was very poor, so practically useless, unless  you are at the bar.
Breakfast was pretty basic, and on the economy side. 
Would we stay here again? Ptobably not
