Excellent place to stay.  Perfect Family run hotel.  Nothing was too much trouble.  Comfortable bed, cosy room , fabulous food. We'll definatley go back.
Perfect location for relaxing walks. James and Emily were the perfect hosts and gave us lots of info about local places to visit.

A friendly and comfortable house. Excellent hospitality and the evening meal was very good indeed. There is a bar and you can sit in a comfortable lounge in front of a log burner. The rooms are spotless and Hames and Emily did all they could to make us comfortable. Highly recommended.

This was a delightful place and easily the best in our tour of Scotland. The young couple, James and Emily, who have recently taken it over gave us a warm welcome and served us tea in a beautifully decorated sitting room, and later provided a local gin in a cosy bar. James cooked our dinner and having a home-cooked meal was superb and a treat after days of restaurant food - he even gave us the recipe! The room was comfortable and faultless. The pretty house is on a main road but felt secluded and quiet. Highly recommended.

Excellent stay at Mansewoord House

We stayed one night between our visits to the Lake District and Isle Of Skye.  We had a fantastic experience.  The house is 300 years old and nicely updated.  The entire area is very scenic and has a small village atmosphere.  This B&B has new owners who were excellent hosts.  We arrived late afternoon after a long drive and James guided us to a pub where we sat outside overlooking a beautiful lake and mountain range.  The 20 minute walk each way was enjoyable.  Our room was comfortable.  James is an amazing chef.  Our 3 course dinner was unbelievably delicious and breakfast was superb.  Thank you James and Emily for a wonderful stay at your B&B!

Great B&B

After a warm welcome from Emily my daughter and I had a lovely stay in a clean, and spacious bedroom. We awoke in the beautiful surroundings to a delicious breakfast made by James. We felt this special venue was good value for money and had everything you could need. Would highly recommend to all.

Perfect location with excellent hosts

What a lovely, special and homely place to stay. The house is full of character and the rooms are cosy. Breakfast has a lot of choices and the fruit and English breakfast were particularly good. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the small evening bar was perfect to snuggle in with a good malt!

Great place to savour

3rd time of staying says it all really!!!! Hard to fault,plan your breakfast the evening before,set a time you want it all leads to a good experience!!!
Plenty local information from these lads too.Help with your luggage if need be.Worth a mention too are the sachets of coffee milk that are provided---You can actually tear the perforations!!!!!!!!.Most of all these guys have time for their guests.A wee bit of home from home!! till next time frm  Dunc And Mel

The most amazing place! A beautiful house, very quiet despite the nearby road, a big clean room, a stunning garden full of birdies and if you are lucky, red squirrel and deers. The hosts are wonderful ! You can have dinner if you tell them 72h in advance which I highly recommend. Best meal I had in Scotland ! The breakfast is also top notch with amazing coffee 

Just wanted to stay!

This is one of the best guest houses I’ve ever stayed in.  John and Scott are such good hosts, nothing was a problem. The lounge has a log burner and John lit it each night for us, it was so cozy. The rooms are a good size and the ensuite was of a high standard.  Breakfast was just perfect, everything you would need or want. I can’t wait to go back again. Thank you for such a perfect weekend. Perfect for a relaxing weekend away

Lovely old house with interesting decor and angles. Comfy, quiet room and spacious lounge, sunny breakfast room, snug bar. We enjoyed nature nearby, and Jazz festival down the road in Callander.
Scott's delightfully presented fruit platters are not to be missed, gluten-free breakfast was perfect, evening meal was generous, all served in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Above all Scott and John are just brilliant; they manage to balance perfect professionalism with easy-going humour, real kindness and care. We came for two days and stayed for a third. When you leave not only do you feel you will miss them, they manage to make you feel they will miss you a little bit too. Now that's hospitality magic.
