We stayed in the self catering for one week and what a lovely stay we had! The cottage was like a home from home and we especially liked the coal/log fire. The views from the cottage were breath taking we would never tire of the view. Comfy bed and all the necessities in the cottage made it a lovely stay. We would definitely return and we don’t usually go back to places we have once been but really cannot fault this stay. Hot tub was lovely and small garden area was very relaxing with gowns and slippers provided. Pamela was hand for any questions prior or during the stay. Yorkshire Brewery was within walking distance which was a nice few hours out and unlimited walks . Both Hawes and Leyburn are also worth the visit. Cottage was clean and tidy , we had a truly amazing well needed week away

Lovely place

Having had friends 'try' to stay there it was hell give it a wide berth or you will really regret it!! False people trying to rip you off don't be fooled by the laid back position. You will really regret it if you book here!

Prentious people false as hell

Stoney End is in the tiny Hamlet of Worton in the Yorkshire Dales. We are greeted by the owner Pamela and shown to our room which was the Yoredale. The room is nicely laid out with the usual tea and coffee facilities, a fridge, and a modern on suite bathroom, and the welcome pack even includes up to date Dinner menus from all the nearby hostelries. The views from the outside seating area are fantastic and we have a Hot Tub included. (As it's the middle of winter we decided against using it).  There is a menu in the room for the next day's breakfast from which you can choose as much or as little as you want. After an excellent night's sleep on the massive bed we go for breakfast. What a treat it is, all locally sourced fresh Yorkshire fare, (Bacon, Eggs, Mushrooms, Hash Browns, Tomatoes, Beans and the best Black pudding you will ever have, all with fresh coffee or tea). 
Pamela is an excellent host and the attention to detail in this establishment is second to none, there is even a printout with the day's weather on the breakfast table.
Worton is only a short walk or drive from Askrigg, famous for the TV series All Creatures Great and Small.
The area is excellent for walking or if you prefer something more sedate just sitting and enjoying the views.

1st Class

Stayed at Stoney End Cottage.  A home from home, every amenity covered plus a hot tub, and a goodie pack waiting when we arrived and given a very warm welcome by our host Pamela. Beautiful views too.  We will definitely return. Highly recommended. 

Thoroughly enjoyable 

I do a lot of B&B based trips and am a regular in this particular part of the world.  A superb stay at a gloriously beautiful B&B. The location is excellent being remote enough to sample the beautiful countryside but within a 15 min easy walk to pubs in Askrigg. Parking is available. 

The breakfast is one of the best I’ve had in a B&B in recent times.  Beautifully presented, high quality and plenty of choice. There is a lot of time and energy that goes into ensuring the standards are maintained here. Yes there may be cheaper options around nearby but at the same quality ??  I’m not sure. 

And Pamela is a wonderful host by the way.

A lovely location, superb host and wonderful breakfast

Fantastic place, overlooking stunning scenery. Owner Pamela is a credit to the tourism trade and cannot do enough for you.
The rooms are spotless and quirky and obviously loved; the breakfast is excellent and one of the most varied I can ever remember having.
Make this your first choice when in the area.

A Must Stay

We have just had a lovely short break in the beautiful Dales staying at Stoney End B&B. Pamela the owner is a lovely lady and couldn’t do enough for us. Excellent cooked breakfast each morning with all the local weather for the day printed off. We stayed in the main B&B in a fantastic cosy room. Private bathroom with large bath and separate shower. Our friends had the beautiful 2 bed cottage with hot tub.

Such amazing views of the surrounding Dales. This place is such an ideal location for a short Dales break. We will definitely be back.

An absolute gem in the Yorkshire Dales

We stayed one night in Ellerkin room at Stoney End. A lovely room and such a wonderful view. Like all other reviews I want to thank Pamela for an excellent stay. The breakfast was superb, could not have been better. All the towels, toiletries, crockery provided are high end quality, and our bed was extremely comfortable. Pamela is an excellent hostess and made us feel very welcome. Thankyou!

Lovely stay!

We only stayed for one night to rejuvenate our batteries but wished we could have stayed longer.  The quality of the linen was excellent and the hot tub was just fab.  Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had.  We will definitely be returning
