We called in to the Station Hotel hoping for a table for four and we were lucky that there was a free table available. The menu has some great choices. We didn’t order starters, which turned out to be a good idea as the portions were huge. Two of us had scampi, one had gammon and one had home-made steak pie. All the meals were delicious. The man who served us (sorry I didn’t catch his name) was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We visit Melrose several times a year and we will definitely visit the Station Hotel again.
